What I really need to is some strong back up players more than anything. Especially on the left.

I like Phil Jones think he's a decent CB who can play in DM as well comfortably. I think if you want a versatile player you'd certainly have a decent player in Jones to do that .

Think DM is where he'll end up personally. The first game vs. Real confirmed it for me. I've said it before but I think United's defence in 3-4 years or so will be:

DDG will be one of the top keepers sooner rather than later, Rafael is really starting to fill his potential, and for me is the best young RB in the world. Evans and Smalling will be top class, Jones too. Fabio... little iffy on him, could go on to be great like Rafael but he's stuck behind Evra atm

I think if United can sign a Luka Modric type CM then I think your team would be looking good for the future.

How is Buttner getting on at United? Haven't seen him in many games .

Buttner's not really had the game time I think he was expected to have this season. Evra had been on the decline for since the WC, but this season he's started putting in the performances we expect from him.

From what I have seen of Buttner though, he does look quite good. Better going forward than defending, can see him being used as a sort of defensive winger, a left winged Valencia sort of role.
