He didn't jump in, he's a big boy and Wilshere can take it!
=====
Kompany and Wilshere weigh around 150kg together. That collision happened at around 20 miles an hour.
If that had been on Wilshere's leg, it'd be broken, no two ways about it.
I swear, anything about Arsenal on this board and you'll get every other fan on the other side, even if it doesn't concern them and even barely concerns Arsenal.
Kompany could have sliced off Wilshere's head with a samurai sword and every other fan would have said it is fair and Wilshere should man up
If that had been on Wilshere's leg, it'd be broken, no two ways about it.
No chance in hell!!!
Where do you get 20mph from
Tell me from this photo where he is out of control when he made contact with the ball
http://img.skysports.com/13/01/800x600/tackle_2885663.jpg
Wilshere has pulled out, he bottled it
Both feet clearly left the ground. Front foot his studs are clearly up and his trailing leg isn't exactly sliding is it?
It's all the FA's fault that this is even a debate considering what decisions they've made in the past. This is my view with no bias because Kompany getting a red card or not makes no difference to Arsenal.
If anything it looks like a bad version of twister, and Wilshere is losing
Two players converged on the ball, one is in control and one is out of control. The problem was the player in control was sent off.
Watch it again, Wilshere has overrun the ball and has lost control of the tackle..
Thudd,

Honestly, look at that challenge, if it was a single second mistimed, he can break Wilshere's leg at that speed. Do you disagree with this statement?
The fact that the FA have seen the light and taken the red card back means it wasn't dangerous
Players need less protection!
Kos should appeal, I can see his being taken back also
Wilshere doesn't even go in for the tackle Paul so that logic is flawed.
If Wilshere had been commited to the tackle and not lost control of his body then I would agree with you, yes it would have been dangerous

It is a big talking point in the sport - what's with the mentality that fans should only talk about their own team and stick to their own board? We're all football fans, we have all got a right to talk about the big issues - as long as there's no abuse you should welcome good debate on your board.
He won the ball cleanly and fairly, it looked bad from the refs angle but it was defo a legit tackle.
If Wilshere went in for that challenge his leg could have been broken. Are any of you actually reading my points?
If you see the replay from the ref's angle then it does look dangerous, but from the side it's not! that's the advantage we have and he does not
Wilshere didn't go in for the tackle so that argument was flawed
ACE-FACE,
Didn't you absolutely lambast everyone on your own board recently? And you say there should be no abuse
But anyway, that wasn't my point. Pointless to be on a forum like this if you just want to talk to your own teams fans, there are dedicated forums for that
Sam Allardyce - "Vincent Kompany wasn’t out of control, he was in perfect control. The person who was more out of control was Jack Wilshere, that’s what made it look so bad"
I think the FA should retrospectively ban Whilshere, he was out of control and could have killed Kompany
"but you can't have a rule for one and none for the other"
Actually, that's exactly what you can have.
No two incidents are the same, and it comes down to your interpretation of the law.
I believe Mike Dean has looked at this again and feels he made a mistake.
Nothing wrong with those of the opinion that it was a red card offence, but you are not 'right', it's just your opinion.
I think it's healthy if referees can review their decisions.

Why wasn't this rescinded?
Don't forget the ref sees this once, not 50+ times the tv viewers see it,at first i thought it was red,but seeing replays it probably was the wrong decision.........
Chris - a minor indiscretion. I am a changed man, a WUM destroyer and a stimulator of good debate now.
The ball was there to be won, and Kompany might have gone in slightly over the top but I don't consider it a red.
Did anyone watch Hull vs Sheff Wed on the weekend? the tackle that night was shocking and not even a yellow
I think most people miss the point about this challenge. 9 times out of 10, a player as skilled as Kompany will win the ball from it. The 10th time he'll break bones.
As we aren't facing City in the newt 3 game I really don't care whether or not it is upheld. What matters to me is that he was righty sent off during the game and left the pitch.
