I always get excited for the ACONs, then watch a game and remember how crap African football really is and get bored.

But being an unemployed bum it is all I have to look forward to filling the afternoons now I have caught up on Sky +

I hate the acon

Too often
Too crap football
Too many of our star players are taken by it... eg. Gervinho

I love it (up until it starts anyway). Did you miss my extensive OFC Nations Cup coverage in the summer? That was a tournament and a half, with 10-1s, 9-0s, 4-3s etc results all over the place.

Ah, only 2 days until Garth Crooks & Co return, trying to make the series of guaranteed 0-0/1-0 games sound exciting. Bring it on.
========
BBC ain't got it this time, so hopefully no Crooks. Hoping to see Lauren (even though no Cameroon), Efan Ekoku and Fabrice Muamba.

Nigeria will surprise people, younger fresher squad. Looking much better and more importantly dynamic. Actually have every good young forward players.
Old guard banished.

Cmf I'm not so sure, think their new referendum for younger players means that although they'll be more eager, they'll also be weaker. Mind you, didn't hinder Zambia last year..

Fancy Nigeria.

Want Ivory Coast to win it for Drogba and they have the best team but they never seem to win it and never seem to click and get it going
