Plan b Nigel? Eustace deal is dead so let's see your plan b!

As one of the monority who thought Eustace would be a good signing, I'm disappointed, but there are plenty of this particular type of fish in the sea. Maybe we will now go for Oakley, not exactly the same sort of player, but good enough to help the likes of Bailey and Hendrick learn the game. Anyone heard any rumours??

Did I say monority there? Maybe I meant moronity. Bit of a Freudian slip, like when you say one thing but actually mean your mother.

Looks like Leicester are using Waghorn in exchange for Maynard so another one bites the dust.

the board have spent naff all. they now need to get there hand in there pockets and get us a out and out striker.....full back cover and a quality defensive midfielder.

Roof, spot on mate, and don't forget Tom Glick did say we will be bringing in an experienced mid-fielder, and an experienced championship striker, it looks like de javu all over again.
What makes me laugh is, fans say we don't want to be another premiership disaster, you need to spend money to get into the premiership, not lots of money either. All I know is, this board are out for themselves. Like i've been saying over the last few years "they will be selling this club to the highest bidder, and to tell the truth I can't wait till they do sell it

Yes I agree lets get some dodgy far eastern/Russian/Arab billionaire who has brokered to buy the club through super fixer Bryan Robson, it has worked so well for Birmingham, Pompey, Blackburn................

Tommo, I'm not saying I want them to sell it to a Bryan Robson chinese style mafia, yes I did see the program if they are going to sell, why don't they sell to local hands, Peter Gadsby. Even in the press today on the back of the telegraph, one Robbie Savage, (and he can say whatever he likes now, with not being associated to the club ) He said we need experienced heads in, to nurture the young ones. now if we can see it and he can see it, why can't the board? Cause it's broken promises yet again, contradicting themselves. Finally, if anyone does come on and say they have time to sign these players, then why on radio Derby when they asked Nigel the question, he had said they wont be bringing any more players in anytime soon it looks like it's going to be loans again!! De javu all over again.

One more thing it makes me laugh when fans come on here saying they dont want to be another Cardiff, Portsmouth etc breaking the bank and being in massive debt, well how come Cardiff have still got ambition to get into the premiership, and we haven't. We're a laughing stock!!

I'm disappointed in the board and it's noticeable that Glick has gone silent again. What's happening to the Director of Football? Gone quiet there as well.

It's clear we could do with a bit more experience. We've roughly spent nearly £3m, but much of this was to cover the shortfall/paucity in the squad, replacing Commons/Hulse. Money has also been raised through a player sale & shedding of wages (Savage).

I think Savage's comments are designed to help/support Nigel Clough. Rather than overt criticism (Billy Davies), these remarks are aimed as a warning shot to GSE that we need more.

On the other hand, the board can't be blamed for the Waghorn/Eustace sagas. I always got the impression that Eustace might stay after settling again at Watford and Leicester have been the ones reluctant to do a deal over Waghorn.

Whatever our views on Savage as a Derby player, I think his criticism is fair and should be heeded.

I see Dan Blanchett who was with us pre-season has now signed for burton.....I think we will deffo sign him now. His agent must of told him that the best way to get a deal at Derby is play for Burton 1st
