9 Feb the Wooden Spoon decider? Reckon Italy will finish bottom.
dunno italy have the great sergio parisse, he can inspire a victory
I remember going to watch Scotland in the fist ever 6 nations game in Rome 13 years ago next month, we got beat that day and nothing has much changed when we play Italy, so i would imagine finishing second bottom would be a result for us - SADLY!
scotland do have some fantastic players but they seem to be surrounded by utter dross
Like Rugby, like Football, Mex
who are these fantastic footballers you have???????????????????????????
Kenny Dalglish, he's still playing isn't he?
Cheeky Bassas
Steven Fletcher, Snodgrass, Rhodes to mention a few
Not like England who have world class players in every department
Glad I don't support England, although I've no room to talk myself.
RKW.
I reckon we could beat you at Rugby, maybe?
If Poland have a RU side...?
Im sure they do - hopefully
In fact yes we do, although not a very good one. Kind of similar to our football team!
Do you follow a polish league team, RKW?
Just the national side. Any Irish fans about we're playing you shortly.
Chris Robshaw retains the England captaincy. What's everyone's thoughts on that? Is he the correct choice?
its a difficult one, man for man in terms of ability he probably wouldnt get in a starting 15 for england, wood, croft and armitage are all better but he has earned the captaincy through determination and his performances in the 7 shirt cant really be faulted, so i would say yes right decision, you have to reward good performances IMO
From an Irish man looking in, England are likely to field an energetic young side and I guess the Captain fits that mould. I like what England are doing these days, I like the manager and the way they go about their business. Workman like. That's a good Image to be projecting and ultimately builds a good team spirit which should also filter down to good results. So fair play I would say.
Seen an article in the Mirror from Dallaglio saying that his first thoughts on Robshaw have been proved wrong by his performances. 'Captain Calamity' was the phrase he used. Although he now seems to have gone back on his word by praising recent performances as captain from Robshaw.
I've been won over by Robshaw to be honest. I'm a huge fan of Tom Croft but I actually think Robshaw impacts the game far more than Croft does. If you watch Croft he hangs out on the wing far too much on the off chance he can use his insane pace.
Robshaw links the forwards and backs well, has become very good at pinching the ball off the deck (although not up there with the Worlds best yet) and more importantly hits a lot of rucks. Having him doing so much rucking means we can afford a bit more dynamism in the tight 5 as their workload is reduced.
Croft is amazing, especially in the line out and with ball in hand but he doesn't do much hard work...so we're lucky to have the option to rotate 3 very classy back rowers imho
Robshaw has been nothing short of a revelation as 7 for England. Also I will say that Armitage isn't as good a player in my eyes, the guy can stay in France for me. To compare him with Croft is not easy as they are both very different.
I would like consistent selections from Lancaster up to our home WC and in the back-row I would like that to mean Croft, Wood, Robshaw, Morgan and Haskell with possibly Vunipola coming in to challenge this year.
Waldrom is poor and I hate players who choose another nation as second choice, get rid of them all we don't need any. Obviously that means I would like Barritt out the squad also.
Aristo,
On Armitage I totally agree. He can have a cracking game but is never consistent, If the game is going badly his head drops, He even seems to sulk a fair bit. Not my type of player at all. Not questioning his ability more his mentality which seems to be a mixture of petulance and arrogance. And he is quite dirty sometimes. Which is a liability considering the importance of a fullback in today's game.
For me too many negatives whit him and a good season in France does not make him good enough for England. I wouldn't have him at any rate. He's a yellow card and a couple of leaked trys waiting to happen.
Tom Johnson will moss the entire tournament for England, and flanker Clark is also unlikely to play according to Jim Mallinder.
