Deserved win for England - reminded me of the England of old when Johnson was skipper. Even when we got back to 6-6 and a man up, I still wasn't feeling that confident - we made more errors than England, and for whatever reason, seemed to lack a bit of intensity, although England defended really well and we never looked like breaking them down. I thought we were going to get away with it at 6-6, but fair play to England for coming up with the goods.

England will be hard to beat, but now I just wonder if the french will come up with a great preformance against them when least expected....................... (We will probably beat France, now that the slam isn't on!!)

england look like they are developing into a genuine world class team, its very exciting times

still think a GS will be tough, the welsh will be doing everything possible to deny us and may still be in with a chance of the title themselves when it comes to the final day

kinsang,

I don't want to speak too soon but it definitely had similarities to the 2001-2003 England team performances.

Rock solid defence creating penalities from the opposition. Very good kicking and fundamentals.

Gutted it wasn't dry...wanted to see our off loading game versus Ireland's brilliant back play

I know I said today might have been the title decider, but I'm going to have to change my mind one again.

It's a huge result for England, especially with two home games next up. But, Wales away on the final weekend might be the game that decides the final destination of the trophy.

Wales need to win in Italy and Scotland, and they might just do that. Should that happen along with two England wins you've got England on 8 pt and Wales 6pts ahead of their clash at the Millennium.

Yeah I was looking at that one in a couple of weeks' time, France need a performance surely they can't continue what they've been like the first two weekends?

It's funny, only a few seasons ago and under today's conditions I would have fancied us quite strongly, but I feel that Ireland are now a team that perhaps doesn't relish poor conditions quite as much. England coped a lot better and and just managed their game-plan that little bit better.

It is of course way too early to compare this England team to that of 2003, but the signs are certainly more encouraging for England. I hope France put in a good performance against England, because that means they are less likely to against us!!!!

I will be interested to see how we respond against Scotland. The Scots will go into the match full of confidence, we will need to make sure we weather what will surely be a frenetic start at Murrayfield.

the scots look much improved, the back 3 are as good as any in the 6 nations

I will gladly state here and now that we will batter the French at Twickers.

They're a shambles and we usually beat them even when they're in red hot form, and at Twickers they're usually even more hopeless.

Wales on the other hand will be incredibly tough.

Ireland will have to find a way of playing their running rugby with ROG instead of Sexton. Won't be easy but I reckon they'll still win fairly well. Scotland are on a high but that Irish defence is going to bring them down to earth quickly

I'm that confident!

I actually think Italy have a better chance of beating us than France...it just won't happen!

well thats jinxed it, are you so confident to say that if france win we can come and flog you

Farrell should have listened to Robshaw, all he needed to do was kick at goal after taking his minute and put it off the park. Instead the lineout was a risk. Yet the BBC praise Farrell for disobeying his captain?
======================

spot on. the game was over if theyd gone for goal. one of the worst decisions ive ever seen.

anyway. my 15-20 prediction was quite a way off. tbh though those conditions pretty much wrecked the game.

I reckon a different ball should be used in conditions like that tbh.

Sorry...

Lol...just watched the most pathetic Englands 7's performance against the French in L.A.

Hope that's not an omen!!!

On a serious note they win the entire tournament last week now they're getting embarrassed in the semi's of the tier 2 trophy...not good enough...infact it's time the coach got sacked...he's been class but he's out of ideas now
