Had a very busy week mex next week is the same too. I'll miss next Saturday's early match but will be around for the later game and next Sunday's too. Miss the first part of the 'finale' too.

JPB - I thought we could get some decent discussion going on here but I never expected this thread to take off like it has done. I've been pleasantly surprised.

Long may it continue after the 6 Nations is over.

The Hieneken Cup discussions can be good too

I didn't know there were ads on the site! i use google chrome with adblock turned on. its been about 2 years since i seen an ad anywhere on the outernet.

Sporty I have been on the rugby board since the start. And i can tell you this. When there is nothing going on there is no one here. Only myself and SARS like old women chatting about anything and nothing.

I really hope the rugby section keeps going like this. But i remember it was crazy busy like this during the WC and then everyone vanished. Same with last years 6Ns and then everyone vanished. Fingers crossed this time.

Hi there DBM

We'll still be here - H Cup coming up soon - Clermont - Montpellier first up, which should be an absolute cracker and one we can all enjoy as a neutral.

parisse back in for the england game after his ban was reduced

posted on 6/3/13

It is me indeed - how goes it Aristo?

I'm rather surprised on Parisse - as with Healy, why have an initial ban that then gets largely overturned, what new evidence was presented for such a hefty change and given that the ban was in the Top 14, should he have been banned from the Six nations at all?

Whilst I don't relish the idea of him playing against England, the best matches feature the best players - Youngs will have to watch out, and we'll miss Farrell's defensive work. Could be a tough afternoon for Robshaw who I suspect will do the lions work to contain him. Would you go for Wood at 6 to help contain, I don't like the idea of Haskell that much, he's a bit of an old school idiot at times - e.g Ireland and I think we need to get awya from that

posted on 6/3/13

wood at 8, croft back at 6 for me SARS, probably the best back row we could have

posted on 6/3/13

I'm not sure Croft is ready to be thrown straight back in, and I'm not sure he has the power needed to suit playing against the Italians

Its a real shame Morgan is still out as I think watching Parisse up close would be a real benefit for him

will morgan be back for the wales game?

Been wondering where you have been I'm good, how are you?
I would go with Wood, Robshaw and Vunipola myself. Croft isn't ready yet which is unfortunate for his Lion's hopes but such is life. After Morgan the two best guys are Vunipola and Easter but Nick seems to have paid the price for the WC. Waldrom is poor and not English, it would irk me if he plays again.
It's a shame Burns isn't 100% (he had a stinker too apparently on his return although I didn't see it) because in a game we should have plenty of good ball he would excel. Hopefully he gets the last half hour. The 36/Tuilagi combo would be awesome to see also, however SL never seems to pick what I want.

posted on 6/3/13

I'm fine thanks!

I guess it comes down to do you take an untried player in Vunipola and everyone in their versus players out of position but with experience and perhaps a bit dodgy - i.e. Haskell - might be worht trying Vunipola on that basis

I'd like to see Burns too, but he sounded a little out of sorts, and I wonder if he'll make the cut - I haven't seen the squad yet - has anyone?

It'd be nice to see Twelvetrees and Tuilagi, though Barritt is for me almost as under appreciated as Mike Brown so I'd prefer to see Barritt in there until we have a decent margin. I think we need to wrack up a healthy points difference to avoid any risk of coming second, before thinking about the slam at all

I believe Morgan will be ready for Wales
