I don't want Vert in CM either

who suggested that ?
would be very interesting.
Wait a minute HRH.....What makes you think Livermore will not get better? I mean you're happy for an overrated, average player like Hudd to be a part of the squad but you think Livermore has no future?
I think you're way to harsh on your judgement on Livermore. He clearly hasn't had enough 90 mins appearances to show what he is capable of, so how can you write the boy off?
It's all about opinion at the end of the day and I feel Livermore will get better with more chances. Hudd, well he needs to be sold on in the summer
Another option. I don't think we need a Sandro replacement to be honest - of our 5 deeper midfield players (Dembele, Sandro, Parker, Hudd & Livermore) we are lopsided in that we have 4 that err on the defensive side and only one who likes to travel with the ball at feet.
If anything we need another similar to Dembele (or Luka), but I'd be fine with Siggy coming in for him. Not priority for me, another old-fashioned English-style CF would be my preference if I could sign one player
Parker has only really established himself as a decent DCM over the last 2-3 years, so there is definitely hope for Livermore.

-----------
For a start I have seen Huddlestone pull the strings for us in our best ever Prem season, being the outfield player with most appearances in 2009/10. I saw him (with Modric) dominate a double-winning-elect 3-man Chelsea midfield that season, and the other two wins.
I have seen him run the show at WHL in CL games, including when we demolished Inter - he and Modric were outstanding.
Only a blind man can say that his range of passing is average - the talent is there as we have seen before.
What exactly do you see in Livermore that makes you think he'd be able to be anything better than OK? Please, I'd be interested to know. For me he has a great attitude and supports Spurs. I don't think he does one thing that is above OK level
Huddlestone just doesn't get into the thick of things, his movement is slow, he has defensive frailties. Yes I can agree that he has a sweet pass on him, but is that the only thing we can go by? Do you honestly think that Huddlestone is an overall package? I think not. Often his game is carried by others around him, his passing alone doesn't compensate for his overall game play
Livermore has more defensive qualities than Hudd for starters. I'm not gonna compare the 2 too much as they are different players. The thing is Livermore is only 23 and has, I repeat again, not had enough full appearances to establish himself. He's not top class but I think he'd bring more to team with more chances.
It seems like people are quick to give Siggy the thumbs up, despite him being the same age as Livermore but only showing average form. But I'm not going to write off Siggy now, the same way as I won't just write of Livermore. Both are still young players and with time to improve
A fully fit Hudd on his game is far better than Livermore and he has just turned 26. I suppose the proof is the age they break through, if you're a real telent you get game time no matter how old you are, Hudd got regular first tem football when he was 17/18.
Like you say its all about opinions so there's mine.
Siggy has done the business at Swansea, had a gear start at Hoffenheim before injuries and earned a big money move off the back of great performances at Championship level with Reading. That's why he gets more leeway despite being the same age.
Livermore has had a few Championship loans and hasn't done particularly well at anyof them. Carroll I can see potential in, but Livermore I see nothing but ordinary.
What qualities do you see in Livermore by the way? Something that raises him above average?
Short Passing? Long passing? Tackling? Leadership? Movement? Dribbling? Good feet? Eye for a killer pass? I am genuinely interested, as to improve enough be good enough for us where we are now he'll have to have something to work with to begin with
HRH, he has defensive qualities and links up ok with the more attacking midfielders. Like I said earlier, I think he is a good player and time will tell.
Tell me, do you think Hudd would feature in any of our rival teams first team? Don't bother asking me about Livermore as I will say but my argument is he is still improving
Who are our rivals? Arsenal & Everton?
I think he may struggle at Arsenal simply because that tends to be the area they are strong in with Arteta and Wilshere among others. Fully fit again he'd certainly feature.
Everton he 100% would
HRH, he'd be far down the pecking order at Arsenal. Everton are having their best season in a while, not a consistent team in recent years but if you want to include them as a main rival then fair enough. He may just get into their first team. You forgot Chelsea, despite them being lucky CL winners, their performances in the last couple of years hasn't suggested they are further adrift from Spurs and competition between us, them and Arsenal is the closest it's been in years. Would he fit in the Chelsea team? No chance.
Anyway, I'm not gonna change my opinion about Hudd, the same you won't about Livermore, so lets just agree to disagree
