1 year severance written in the contract.

Apparently it has a clause where if he's fired he only gets paid for one year

But yeah, the guy is failing!

Oh well that's p####ed on the parade didnt know that.

If that clause is true, then Newcastle have actually done the right thing by offering him 8 yrs to be honest. Otherwise it would;ve cost more to sack him.

Never rated him as a manager, one of the worst in PL history.

Adkins would be a good shout for Newcastle. Very very unlucky to be sacked by saints and gets his team playing good football. I reckon he'll be a really top manager if given the right job and time.

HBA or Cabaye anyone

I'm stunned Adkins got the sack, how on earth could they justify that move ? He done a brilliant job there.

We need another winger. We need another midfielder.

So no because it makes far too much sense. We'll probably go for Cisse and add to our already long list of strikers.

I reckon both could really flourish in this current united team.

It's more to do with Ashley rather than Pardew, in my opinion. Like Lerner at Villa, he is tight-fisted and they have stagnated due to the refusal to improve their squad. Then the big clubs come in and take away their best players - see Young, Milner and Barry.

Had Ashley and Pardew worked together to get in two or three defenders in the Summer and some creative wingers, they would be alright. A decent, fit partner for Coloccini should have been paramount.

Only themselves to blame. Feel sorry for the fans, who surely must have seen this coming?

Na it's not. He's just as if not more culpable. He's clueless tactically, makes awful subs, his man management has been awful all season.

Very true Kagawa

To be honest, I don't mind Newcastle I just can't stand that ignorant (insert bad word) Pardew.

Ben Arfa is player I wouldn't mind seeing at United. Unlike the English dross that is served up - Zaha - Ben Arfa is one of the most talented footballers in the league. In a team like United's, with more time to use the ball and playing with better players, he's somebody who could potentially flourish. He appears a very streaky player, though, so no doubt a player fans would sharp get sick of. Shame.

Cabaye is decent. He isn't what we need and I don't think he's particularly better than what we've already got. Furthermore, I think he plays his best football in the same position - if not, slightly deeper - than Rooney and Kagawa. No to him.

I see Ben Arfa as similar player to Nani, very hit and miss but on his day brilliant.

Would prefer someone that wasn't injured so often also

VCD

Pretty much. He's essentially just a more injured Nani who isn't as good. He's still somebody I wouldn't mind for the right price, though.

I still rate Pardew, hope he gets a bit of backing this January as they need to strengthen desperately.

His signings have been great when the funds have been available.

He isn't a AM. He's a box to box midfielder whose best attributes is his defensive pressing and his dynamic short passing.

he's definitely what you need. He's much better than Cleverley. Anderson is very good but he is always injured. Cabaye is more healthy.

Andy can correct me here if needs be, but I'm sure a lot of his games have been in behind Ba or Cisse with the likes of Anita, Tiote, Perch or Jonas in behind him?

He's tactically inept, hoof ball merchant clueless buffoon. Has no say in transfers, lies to the fans and is living off last year. Last year isn't going to keep us up. We're going down with him.
