Welcome! You're not wrong there. The Boro game had all I love about football and we were asked a lot of questions about our team. The most pleasing aspect was they way we kept trying when shots were hitting the woodwork and goals being disallowed, and as for the penalty save!!
Like many have stated, 17 games to go yet! So each game at a time.....
Spot on 1884 and even if we don't make it this year I hope the Thai owners see that Pearson will get us there next year. The squad is very good and will only get better. I just hope key players remain injury free.
Welcome back lad. Good piece. We seem to be in a good place at the moment. Players mentally being in the right place saying the right things not too much rubbish in the media. We seem very focused on the job in hand and the squad seem to understand that everyone is needed. Nobody seems to be bleating they are not getting a start. Even Gallagher, Welles etc who are not starting from the outside at least seems to be accepting that they will play a part but will probably not start.
I wonder how beckford and Danns are feeling about it? Will they in the summer be all of sudden interested if we were to actually get promoted?
I'm not sure that Beckford cares where he plays any more as long as he gets paid. As for Danns, he still has some life in him. He's a good player when he applies himself and could do very well at Huddersfield - a struggling team appears to be the situation he thrives in the most, and Huddersfield are undoubtedly struggling at present. However, in Danns's recent interview, he's reported to have stated that when he captained the team against Burton he thought he played well and the management thought he played well. Anyone who saw that match could easily refute that. That kind of statement combined with the early-season Twitter whinges about not getting in the team do suggest... how best to put it... Delusions of Grandeur maybe...?
Still, it is indeed good to be a foxes fan at present. Pearson's teams here have had a way of making you want to both cheer for them and believe in them, and I think only now can we really appreciate what he meant when he said that he found the club in a bad state and had a lot of work to do. Getting rid of poisonous characters like Mills and changing the culture of the team is no easy job but we look to be on the right track now. Hopefully we can start to land that much needed bit of luck now and create a gap between us and the teams below.
