I thought his pace was pretty good today.
Everything else was poor.
Torres and the club really need to go their separate ways.
"I am sick of managers picking him to curry favour with Roman."
Evidence please .
Regarding Torres, how's about saving Ba for the Swansea clash?
He had one burst of pace in the 2nd half at 2-1 up but then billsed up his touch...........
he just has to go. I'm fed up with him and i'm fed with the whoever it is within the club that's admant that he's gonna prove them right and the rest of the world wrong.
Matt, he can't run and keep control of the ball and he did not lose his marker once.
His hair was supposed to make him a new man
Why can't Ba play today and midweek? Look at the number of games Torres played on the bounce for us.
I havent had a problem with Torres workrate for ages and I actually think he would be better if played or rotated with Oscar, with Ba up front.
His predatory skills as a Worldclass striker are long since gone and certainly does not deserve to start in place of BA from what I have seen so far.............but hey, Roman has given his word
Ok, everyone please explain to me why we've kept mis-firing Torres and sold a better, faster striker to another premiership team?
And please don't bore me with "attitude"
Indeed, and I was always hoping we would snag Falcao AND keep Torres, I have always been greedy
"Roman has given his word"
LOL. RA is of course determined to destroy our club. Just look at our empty trophy cabinet in the past decade. RA never talks to the media yet every fans know what he's doing and thinking .
Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez: "Today Torres was a key player for us. Every run he was always there and ready and pushing the defenders. And he makes space for Mata, a good winger. He and Demba Ba did well.
"We have been doing well, creating chances in all our games. In the games we didn't win we deserved to win. It was just a matter of time until we had a performance like this."

The above worries me

Has virtually every Chelsea coach since he was purchased, been obilivious to Torres' form? Surely one of them might have noticed?
In all fairness he surprised me with his pace today. Awful miss from ba after beating the keeper. If that was torres.........
Ba on for 10 mins plus stoppage time............. I think that's more forgiveable?
No, the fact that the last two got sacked as soon as dropping Torres was pure coincidence
