Nothing will come of it in terms of the big guns getting wrapped in my opinion. There will be a scapegoat made of one, maybe two members.
But at the end of the day this 'investigation' is being conducted internally and quite probably connected to those involved anyway.
The only way the truth would ever come out would be if FIFA was to be investigated by an outside body completely neutral with nothing to gain from whatever findings they come up with.
I would be extremely surprised if anything serious is pinned on Blatter and his fellow high flying cronies.
This is why I'm surprised that a larger fuss hasn't been made by the FA and other national governing bodies. This is an opening for them to really stick it to FIFA but so far nothing has been done.
At the very least they should be pushing for a postponement of the presidential elections as neither candidate should be allowed to stand with allegations of corruption hanging over them.
Surely accusations of bribery levelled at the current President and his opposition for the post are grounds for an outside investigation into a multi-billion pound organisation such as FIFA?
