I was a doubter. And am happily being proved wrong. Just need to sign a striker (Defoe has lost his form and is finding it difficult as the lone striker, defensive midfield cover for Parker (don't think he'll last two games a week till the end of the season and Thudd is too much of a luxury at times) plus a creative attacking midfielder (bring forward the Holtby loan please) and we're in business.
Who one MOTM? Was it Carrick? I thought Lennon and De gea deserved it more.

Well, I for one will own up and say that I thought we were going to be turned over, especially after the loss of Sandro, coupled with our inability to score, so evident on many occasions.
But that is the second season now that Man Utd have come to the Lane and set out to defend, same as Wigan and Stoke!!! Which to me shows a respect for a much improved side that is the current Spurs team.
But I still think that we need to get Kaboul back, Benny able to last the 90 mins and tell Parker to stop being caught in possession so often (someone said yesterday that he goes round in circles too often, which struck a cord with me). Under constant attack we still lseem to be very vulnerable.
Carrick but that was before we scored and it was Alan Smith giving the award.
You guys were much better in the second half, and I think overall a draw was probably a fair result, though it could have been much different but for the Rooney penalty appeal. I was worried from around the 60 minute mark where we appeared to just be resigned to taking your pressure. Though the stats heavily favour you in terms of shots taken, I lost count of how many of them were Bale trying the 30 yard special.
Your defence was fairly good, though I thought Welbeck gave your right back nightmares, and also Caulker was extremely lucky after tripping over his own feet.
Overall, going away to the 4th in the league and getting a draw isn't a terrible result and I'd much rather lose points to you than many other teams in the league. I have a bit of a soft spot for you guys Good luck on 4th and beyond!
Penalty appeal? The incident started on the edge of the box
To be honest mate i didnt even know welbeck was playing he was that poor
Your keeper made two lucky & amazing saves with his feet that had goal all over them, a world class stop from Rio and a few other really good chances so not sure why people seem to think we Deserved a draw, we deserved to win
I was was one! Thought we would get f-all, but it was nothing to do with AVB. I always thought he needed at least 2 seasons regardless of our place this year. Seems like he doesnt need that long though! Really starting to believe in the guy!
A last minute winner like that after all that second half effort must be such a boost to the players and coaching staff. Hopefully we can push on from it in all the comps.
Was well pleased to see Benny back. He made an instant difference to our play down the left.
COYS.
If being poor meant that he pretty much got in to any position he wanted, at any points. Then yes he was poor. The only criticism of Welbeck was his final ball.
I don't think you deserved to win, but then I would say that. lucky or not, that is what we pay De Gea for and we defended exceptionally until the last minute. As I say, Bale barely had a sniff, and resorted to attempting 30 yard shots.
I have never seen us play that well against united. Surely even Chicken and GSF must be starting to come around to AVB now?
I agree you defended fantasticly and we could learn alot from how you defend.. butthere was only one team in it in the second half and lloris had nothing to do
shows how much respect fergi has for us that he sent his team out second half to defend with two banks of 4
Indeed, in the second half we were absolutely battered, but likewise, we played well in the first half and probably should have scored more. It didn't help when Welbeck was clean through, and Caulker(?) fell over his own feet, and somehow got a free kick. It was just one of those days.
I think it was more necessity than choice, it started out ok in the second half, but by 60 minutes it felt like a matter of when, not if. I almost wish you'd scored earlier, we might have put up a fight.
This another game for the AVB haters to their list of 'apart from' games.
ie - apart from this game, and that game, and that run of games......we haven't been very good under AVB.
4pts are exactly what we deserved over the two games in terms of performance - we should have won yesterday but were fortunate to get 3 in Manchester
As I say, I'd rather drop points to you than to most other teams in the league, and we've got all the tough/big away games out of the way now and should hopefully push on to win the league.
I think you've got a real shout for 3rd this year.
We r, where is chicken? no one can deny the great job AVB is doing and there is no excuses anymore. We might not be as fast and fluid as we were under harry but we are a better side under AVB.and much more tougher as a unit.
Weare - you're the first one to get all gloaty and uber-praisful of AVB after a good performance, as if some of us want us to play badly, but the first to cry when any criticism gets put AVB's way after a bad performance and will blame the players instead

well it would be nice to hear from chicken and him give some credit to AVB
Don, the time to judge that is the end of the season....above or below 67/68pts will pretty much confirm that one way or the other
Im not gloating at you
im saying it how it is mate, if you dont like it then tough
Still you have to mention we were lucky at UTD
So wheres your mate yest and today then .. gone missing again i see ,
I dont cry at all if you criticise the manager as long as its valid and not part of an agenda or because of any opinion based without even giving the guy a chance
ohh i see.. so if we get 66 hes usless and if he gets 68 hes great one things for sure we wont be doing a harry type collapse ,

If Spurs get Cl with 65 pts, AVB has delivered the Levy target.
Beyond that fundamental target, what additional judgement criteria are being offered ??
