What mug said that!?
====================
Was it you Petey?
You misunderstand, I said he is an average player but that isn't a bad thing, he brings experience and discipline to our midfield.
Bet the bloke who said that was one of the first to lose the plot over the fact we're yet to sign anyone this window and demand we make signings regardless of whether they'd actually improve us
I think the guy has so much more to offer us, he's wasted as a dm imo. He was so good at Everton when he played further up. He's done ok for us but I wish we signed a proper dm and moved Mikel up to his goalscoring posistion.
After my article on Arteta below, I'm amazed to find that some on here think he's average, or even, and I quote, "the poorest signing made over the last ten years. It ranks with Gervinho".

Don't be amazed, most of our fans are complete idiots.
couldn't agree more powerkinghenry - see article below
Gooners are so hurt by what is going at the club a lot of them have developed a judgment impairment.
One side of the coin you have guys who put down genuinely good players at Arsenal along with the bad.
On the other side, you have guys who laud the average players and put down the great/good players.
No balance.
I mean things are bad at Arsenal at the moment, but damn.
So much more to offer? He is 30 years old, lacks pace and ability to dribble and has little to vision. He won't last after this season.
Gd Article judge, pretty much what I would of written. I can't see Wenger changing it tho
I can't take seriously anyone who lists Gervinho as one of their favourite players
Gerv
Did you see him at Everton?!. The guy has never had pace.
He was ok at everton before injuries took their toll, yes he scored some nice long-range goals and free kicks that was it. Wenger brought him in to steady the midfield, he is a very limited player
I can't take seriously anyone who lists Gervinho as one of their favorite players
====================
spot on ......
.....as opposed to Gervinho who is a footballing colossus, you mean.
Who in their right minds would think Arteta is anything worse than a decent signing. That's the kind of idiots you get on this board now I suppose.
I generally respect HMNG. But I am curious to know what made him change his name from Hey My Name Is Vermaelen to the one we see now.
I had enough of vermaelen that is why
But not enough of Koscielny?
How long before you have enough of Gervinho? After he misses another open goal from 3 inches?
Ok sometimes koscielny will make a silly mistake, other than that he is top class defensively, positioning, tackling. Vermaelen lacks any defensive ability, seems to have gone downhill since being named captain
Gervinho is a special, special player, I always will have faith in him.
