baines is the best LB in the country by a mile. how cashley is still first choice for england is beyond me

I think Baines has just recently got on par with Cole. I'd still prefer Cole if I were manager of England but obviously due to Cole's age I'd prefer Baines at club level.

the only thing cole has over baines is pace and tbh i dont think there is even much in that.

baines can defend, can see a pass and knows when to overlap without exposing his team.

also has a tasty left peg on him which is handy for set pieces

Definitely offers more going forward however Cole's more solid in defence.
