Sorry to sound grumpy and old, but although he might be a great prospect (and if he turns out any good we'll probably wind up flogging him on for about £5m less than he's actually worth like Cahill) but what we need is big, ugly experienced CB's who will command the area and shore up our defence.
It's ok planning for the future, provided you're not nervously looking over your shoulder at the teams below you.
I've seen him play for the U21's a few times, (on the telly of course), and he reminds me a little of Alan Stubbs. Just so long as the attitude isn't the same he'll be fine.
We have a big, Ugly experienced CB - He's just currently injured.

Wheater? Although I suppose you might consider him quite handsome? Each to their own and all that!
I knew somebody would mention Wheater when I said ugly......
Just 'cause he looks like Mr Punch on steroids and he's got a face you could open bottles with, it doesn't make him a bad person.....leave him alone.
I meant ugly in the no nonsense / frills "get stuck in and kick some strikers" sense.

Really excited about this signing. Not sure why, just think it's a good one. Nice that we can beat off so much competition as well, especially from the Dingles.
Tony, we won't be selling him on, it's only a loan signing, possibly for the remainder of the season.
one for the future definitely, could have played more for us this season but Clarke has put his faith in Tamas instead after he covered right back quite well when we was short there.
Why is everyone so excited?!
I'm normally the first to big up a new signing before hes even played, but its ANOTHER loan of a player whos 4th or 5th choice at West Brom! From what I've seen theres no option to buy, and much like butterfield, he's gonna come in, we'll say he's a bit of a handy player, then he'll be back to WestBrom in the summer a better player, and we're still down a CB having spent wages and a loan fee.
I'm pleased we're doing something at cb, but i hate us loaning second rate players, I'd rather of kept Bennet and Conolly and given them a chance
He's the second of four players that the Tinkerman would like to sign. I'm not sure he will manage to sign two further players but here's hoping he can find two gems in the limited time that's left of this window.
Have to agree .... not sure what the point is of another loanee.
If he plays ahead of "our" players then how does that affect their confidence etc.

If he plays ahead of Zat Knight, then who cares.
I'm hoping we get an option to buy at the end of the season. I think it will be a successful window if we manage to hold onto all our players! C'mon Thursday!

Lots of potential.
Would only be a loan though. He's in our future plans.
Needs game time.
Sorry lads but no chance of buying him off us, he is very highly rated and we are only allowing him to leave on loan so he can get some much needed game time.
I'm sorry but why on earth have we got him until the 27th April?? Why not just have him for the rest of the season?? What do we do in the remaining games??? What is wrong with the people running my club?????
Mr. T .... in answer to your question ....we will be left in the crapper as per usual.
It's a three-month emergency loan only.
