It just makes good business sense. We got Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Yanga-Mbiwa for a similar or less price than what Zaha is costing Man U. I really don't care where the players are from! Especially Cabaye but yeah for the money we've invested in French players you'd probably get like 2 alright English players.
I agree with you, you lot still haven't spent all of the Andy Carroll money and have still got some class players! Cabaye in particular.
Prem players in general are well over priced. A good example was Chelsea vs saints. Chelsea scorers cost almost £40m where as ours cost £1.75m. which is unbelivable really
With the Carroll money, off the top of my head we've signed Cabaye, Debuchy, Ben Arfa, Yanga Mbiwa, Santon, Anita. All internationals and not for crappy countries, France, Italy and Netherlands.
