'Just so everyone is clear on just how good Parker is lately: he is averaging 28.5 points on 56 percent shooting and 9.3 assists over his past five games'

Incredible, honestly cant believe how good TP is atm!

Edin, it makes me happy he has shoved KD down the MVP race very happy.

You agree that if the season ended today he should be MVP?

posted on 22/2/13

Depends on how you see the award. The consensus is it should go to the best player on the best team. if so then yes, but if it was, the genuinelly most valuable player, then no.

but im so happy he is now ahead of that poser durant.

Best player in the best team it has normally been, obviously give or take some wins/losses.

posted on 22/2/13

im not sure i agree with that. i think it should just be the best player that year. end of story.

Weve had this conversation so many times before. But I am still in the frame of mind that the best player should be the team that is winning most. Otherwise they are just ball-hogs who are detrimental to the team (over-exaggerating here)

or they have poor teammates?

that year dwyane wade had a absolutely outrageous year, averaged like 30ppg and 7.5 assists shooting like 50%. if he was on a better team he would have got MVP. but he had some of the worst players ever around him, so the team was poor and someone else got mvp. not his fault.

But you can never justify that if the MVP that year didnt play for the Heat, the heat wouldnt have won more.

The problem with basketball is I think a lot of players post up good numbers but arent good team players.

Genuine question i have been thinking about, can anyone beat the heat in a 7 game series? the genuine only team i could see giving us proper troubles in indiana. cant see anyone in west apart from spurs, but b the time finals come around we will be faaaaarrr to fit for them.

I could (highly unlikely) see the Pacers or the Knicks knock them out. Also think you are wrong about the finals though, Spurs are the most formidable team in the league if they make the finals. I just worry that we wont get past the conference finals (I dont think we will )

Dwight will not leave. Kobe won't be around for much longer. Maybe call it a day after next season.
