AW is never going to openly discuss legitimate targets as it would adversely affect any negotiations.
However given the time that has now passed it is reasonable to conclude that the club has moved on from their primary (and possibly secondary) targets.
As such would not hold my breath for any permanent deals, and suspect that a couple of loans will be the height of any business undertaken this month.
What I want to know is why the bleeding heck did he say back in december that we would be 'very active' inthe transfer market?
Christ, how on earth can you look at this club and not think they need strengthening? I mean really, we had to bring on Arshavin last week against Chelsea,
And if we play our first choice front three of Giroud, Podolski and Walcott we have 0 strikers on the bench, ludicrous.

It has been a reoccurring theme over the last number of seasons that prior to the window opening a statement is released about how ambitious they will be in the market, and how active the club will be.
The mantra then changes to being “a difficult month” “value in the market” “strong squad” etc etc (delete as appropriate) and not much (if any) business is completed.
Leads me to believe that the club will retain monies this season to offset the non-qualification for the CL.
lets just see what the next week brings...
he may spring some surprises yet.
Beating the hammers by 5 is the worst result for u guys....no need for reinforcements then!
I would have thought that losing to the Hammers would have been a worse result
