Jim Ross Blog: Royal Rumble Predictions

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog at JRsBarBQ.com with a preview of tonight's Royal Rumble 2013 pay-per-view. Here are some highlights of what JR wrote about:
CM Punk vs. The Rock: I expect the WWE Title bout the close the show featuring WWE Champion @CMPunk defending against @TheRock. It will be interesting to see how the challenger will be able to morph from movie star back to his wrestling roots especially against the intense Punk who is obviously walking into the main event with a sizeable chip on is shoulder.
As I have written, I see Punk, who is extremely physical and tough, using Muay Tai kicks and strikes, in general, against Rock who never really encountered anyone of Punk's skill set when Rock was wrestling in WWE full time.
The longer the match goes the more it would seem to favor the Champion but I'm sticking to the prediction that Punk makes one mistake, likely mental, that cost him the WWE Championship.
2013 Royal Rumble Winner: I've picked John Cena to win the Rumble match but in reality this could go in a multitude of ways. I still feel Dolph Ziggler will make an impact and I can't count out Sheamus, Ryback and Orton, among others. There will be so many different stories being told within this contest which makes the Rumble match so compelling. Who leaves not only the winner but who leaves this bout with their stamp on the night such as @KevinNash and Kane, among others, have done over the years? Is Kane's record of eliminations in the Rumble match in jeopardy tonight? I say it gets broken.
hope jim ross is wrong on who win's tonight
Honestly, i cant see cena winning it this year, not sure who i can but i cant see him doing it
Lesnar to win the rumble!
Kane's elimination record in jeopardy? Who by?
Surely not? Hadn't Kane been in like 11 Rumbles straight and always eliminates at least 1 person, I would have thought his number of eliminations was much higher than Cena's unless JR meant his record in a single rumble match.
If Ryback or Cena enter early doors and go to the end, they may beat it.
What was it? 11 people in 2001?
I've just found out that HBK has the most eliminations overall so it must of meant Kane's eliminations in a single match. My bad.
Ziggler is apparently number 1 or 2 so he could do it?
can't ziggler winning because he has MITB case
Thats what I was thinking, he might be the guy this year who goes from the start and finishes 3rd/4th
Ziggler could be world heavyweight champion by time the rumble starts
Surely the world champion can't go into the rumble?
good point, perhaps he will wait till elimination chamber
I just want him to win it already
Always love when people cash in, Cenas was wasted this year
In Phoenix Arizona tonight so hopefully a good crowd
Can't see past vena for this! Jim vs the Rock 2 is nailed on IMO! Carp I kno,
if rock win's then he has a lot of shows but rock lot's of film work this year so that means rock will have to lose to cena
What time is this kicking off then?
Is that the pre-show or the proper thing?
