pretty comprehensive stuff there.

after watching lloris, watching brad in goal on sunday was painful.

wtf was he up to for the first goal?

I stand by my view which i had months ago where i said if Lloris had started the season we would of had more points on board. A lot of people diagreed with me and it would be interesting to see if they agree with me now?

Chronic, i have to give Chicken credit because he claimed ages ago that all Friedel does is stick on his line and dosen't move. I couldn't see this last season but i really have noticed it this season. I agree it was painful mate and thank f uck we have Lloris.

didn't Friedel keep a clean sheet against Coventry though?

Chronic, that first goal was awful. Lloris would have been off his line as soon as the player broke. Brad just didn't move!!

Brad was great for us but all good things end

Hugo for me all day long

Says it all really, not suprised Friedal hasn't won one 50/50 on the ground or in the air, never ever comes out and closes down, which if your young and an amazing shot stoppper might be ok (even though for a keepr i don't think it is) however, his reactions are slowing too, it has to be his last season, i think he has done well for us in general but if Lloris got injured now, i wouldn't have any confidence in Brad anymore, i might get slated but even Gomes would have closed down Varney to make the angle difficult.

don.

chicken was the very first one on here to question friedel, that was about half way through last season.

after he said it, i started noticing he was right. friedel is and was a good keeper though. but lloris is miles better.

i agree with you on lloris.. i said it at the time. BUT i admire the way avb dealt with what could have been a tricky situation - two keepers expecting to be first choice.

luckily brad is such a great pro. we are lucky to have him

Don i bet they won't, onl;y a handful of us wanted him in at the start

AVB did what any good manager would, pick on credit and not reputation. It sends a message across to the other players.

Yeh mate i have nothing against Friedel and think as number 2 he is great but Lloris is miles better and can't believe anyone would think otherwise. We have a young, fast and agile keeper in Lloris who in my opinion is one of the best in europe and it bloody shows when you watch Friedel compared to Lloris.

BennyCool....what the fack is Ade being selected so often then? it's either we have no options or he is playing him on reputation (last season) he cannot be picking him on merit this season

Full back. some spurs fans were still wanting Friedel to be number 1 even though he couldn't keep a clean sheet

I vaguely remember them complaining when he messed up in the Europa league.

What about goalkeeping errors?

Lloris has made one and brad hasnt?

posted on 29/1/13

Don you're a true footbavgenius you are every fackin comment is as I said months ago

Edin, even if you consider that. The stats weigh heavily in Lloris' favour.

JA messiah Maybe because i did say it "months ago" and people were disagreeing and giving me stick so i like to shove it down their throats

I dunno benny, brads issue is he doesnt deal with things like a top goalkeeper should. However I dont think he has made an error as blatant as Hugo in the Europa?

Thanks for picking Friedel on Sunday - any help greatly appreciated.

I've always rated BF as a great pro and a good keeper - he did look a bit pedestrian for our first goal the other day though.

Good luck for the rest of the season and hope you break the mould of the top positions over the next season or so. Be good to see another side have a proper tilt at the title (and maybe even lift it!) .........

I think Lloris has been on the whole pretty good, but there have been a few times he could have done better - Everton's 2nd (near him), United's goal (near post) off the top of my head.

Not sure if this was a pop in my direction, but I was always of the opinion Lloris should be eased in to English football 9and the club) and not just chucked in.

Who's to say that this isn't the reason he looks so comfortable now, and that going straight in may he been counter-productive? AVB played it pefectly

completely agree mate, look at De Gea. Clearly a great goalkeeper, but had a shocking start to Utd due to being chucked straight into the deep end. I feel this really stalled his development. I think AVB played it perfectly tbh.

What about goalkeeping errors?

-----------------------------------------------------

Staying on your line whenyou should be coming out to narrow the angle is a very basic error for a keeper to make, i think you'll find Brad has made this error many times
