Shame for Partick thistle. Doing a really good job there.

Depends on the view IE - have a bit of an allegiance to Morton so happy with anything that de-rails a challenger
Suppose I've got a wee soft spot for thistle. Glasgow team n all.
Lets hope it works for him. Only need to look at lambert to see grass isn't always greener

A lot of ex Celtic Capitano's getting the big jobs these days
Dave - must have done. I bet united fans are delighted they didn't get that big eejit
Lambert will get it right
What Dave are you talking to?? Be specific, to much confusion on here

Kinda wonder if this will be the way forward for the clubs fighting in the SPL (or whatever it becomes)
Guys like Pressley, Moore, McNamara, Hartley etc. On one hand cheap and disposable if things dont work out but also young coaches that have had teaching roots in things like The Coerver Method or the Echo method and watching players play short passing drills and Futsal for example...
Interesting times....

Nice to see a younger manager (not Pressley) getting a shot in the SPL. I hope he has a c,rap start though
Welcome to our club Jackie Thank feck you are not Pressley!!!
The sons are staying up DC
Morton goin up - Hope so.
AK - do you think the fans will be happy with this or just glad its not Elvis?
Was talking too the jackal dave , dave
Tafka, the fans are very pleased that it is not Elvis. Reading through the United boards elsewhere, we know it is a gamble, but on the whole folk are pleased with this appointment
If you ask me, McNamara would still be at Celtic in some form of coaching role if he wasnt treated quite so badly in 2005 when his contract was up, O'Neill left, WGS came in and his future was left in up the air during the transition
Just sayin

While that maybe Stevie he was a jersey that was picking a wage up without playing and sadly the club didnt want the cost.
Didnt like the way it ended as I know he loved playing for the club, but pleased that his management career has started well....
All the best Jackie always loved him playing for the hoops a great wee player and a great wee guy as well
Delighted for him - a big loss to Thistle though
Wish him well. Jackie will always be a bhoy.
Nice 1st game at the weekend
