Please!!!! damage his coaching reputation to get sacked??? Truth of the matter is Mourinho bit more than he could chew and is been shown off and as a coach who never played any decent footie if at all does not command any sort of respect from players beyond the trophies he has won.

What a load of utter dross.

I love how this "Mourinho is failing on purpose because he wants to come back to England" crap has become widespread on here.

All in all, he's failed at Real Madrid. One league title and Copa Del Rey in 3 years is hardly impressive. Especially keeping in mind he took over a team who amassed 96 points the season prior.

I hope we dont get him in the summer. His ego is too big now and I dont want it to become Mourinho FC.

@Kagawa_26 - Cleverson! (U15671)

at least Wenger is not an ass on the job.

typical united fans defending Jose.Hope u get him but it must be worth noting at all teams except Porto he worked with world class players.Just wonder how he will do at united with the only world class players all over 30 or close to 30 in RVP's case.

and u arent flush with cash.Hope united buries him.

The Spanish media see Mourinho's arrogance and disrespect for Real Madrid's traditions and do not like it.

The British media see his arrogance and pine after him.

I guess your opinion of him depends on whether or not you see football as all about winning trophies.....

Its utter a_ss wipe and the only reason people peddle this theory is to keep Jose fresh for the united Job.truth of the matter is just like Chelsea, united is ahort on managers to take over Fergie and the last man standing, presumably Jose must be kept fresh and rosy otherwise it will be Moyes or Robson.

Cescy and Upstart

I'll forever be grateful to Mourinho for what he did for us but he's changed. He's become a different person to that young, good looking, articulate Portuguese man from the south that changed the footballing world in 2004.

There's no shame in 'failing' at Real Madrid. There is shame in the way he is conducting himself.

Put this on the City/Barca boards. The clubs you actually support. Mug.

Indeed Upstart. as a classy chelsea fan from the 90s, I'd like my manager to conduct themselves with dignity and respect. Like how Benitez is doing.

Benitez should be the blueprint of all future chelsea managers.

football is about winning, but when winning involves jabbing your fingers in people's eyes, you lose respect for someone.

what sort of person does that?

For all the unwavering confidence in his own managerial ability, Mourinho does not have it in him to commit to a club for a long period of time.

He's a very good manager... can't you wish Utd get Scolari or Peter Reid instead?

Football is about winning.....it's not ALL about winning trophies though.

Easy to say that as an Arsenal fan....

Mourinho is an absolute clown.

Any coach that can go to Spain and become a champion in the toughest league in the World without Iniesta, Xavi, Messi in the squad deserves respect.

His goal this year is clearly making Madrid European Champions. How anyone can say he is failure half way through a season while still having a great chance in two competitions has no clue what they're talking about.

Mourinho is class, and Barca will be glad when their only thorn to their side quits Spain.
