Tottenham 1-2 Man Utd
Ozil --------------- van Persie
--------------------- Ronaldo

Tottenham are a strong side going forward but their defence was always going to have trouble dealing with a side who have Ronaldo, van Persie and Suarez. United have defensive frailties of their own which Spurs exposed, taking the lead through an Ozil strike. But Vidic silence Villa for large periods of the match and, whilst Bonucci could do with improvement, he is on a par with Spurs' centre-halves who struggled against, admittedly, tougher opposition. Rafael & Evra coped well against Reus and Neymar too.

===

Newcastle 0-1 Man City
------------------ Messi

City are arguably stronger all over the pitch and were aided by the fact Marchisio and Moutinho are not defensive midfielders. Despite Moutinho's more conservative approach than Ozil, Newcastle have a problem here and City have one of the strongest midfields in the league so were always going to capitalise. Jordi Alba impressed at left-back but other than that, City were superior in every area but it didn't show as much as expected, Messi scoring the only goal.

===

Sunderland 0-1 Fulham
------------------ Falcao

This defeat will be a tough one to stomach for Sunderland. In terms of balance, these teams are very similar and this led to a relatively uneventful game in truth. Yet Fulham have the massive advantage going forward, and Radamel Falcao only needed one chance to score whilst Torres squandered plenty. This coupled with a strong defence allowed Fulham to nick all three points.

===

Arsenal 1-1 Everton
Benzema ---- Muller

This was a very similar game to the Sunderland - Fulham in that both of these teams are equally well-drilled and balanced. Arsenal's defence is not as strong as Everton's, but Benzema's clinical finishing salvaged them a point from the game. Everton hold the advantage in wide areas with Muller & Silva having free roam at times - the German equalising for Everton - but centrally Arsenal are marginally stronger through Wilshere, Cazorla & Ramires and this was enough to see them get a point.

===

Aston Villa 2-1 Chelsea
Tevez ------------ Yaya
di Maria

Chelsea were simply second-best today to a top Villa side who maintain their 100% record. Rooney will only be concerned with Robinho who is far too inconsistent to feature in a team full of stars like Villa, but Chelsea have more weaknesses which the hosts were able to exploit. Dante shows promise but it'd be better for Chelsea to have an orthodox LB and have Badstuber centrally. The jury remains out on Javi Garcia and El Shaarawy, and Mata was overshadowed by di Maria far too often which probably cost them.

spurs 0-1 united
ronaldo

spurs' defence and dms are their weak points. united's forwards had a field day and were unlucky not to have scored more goals.

newcastle 1-2 mancity
moutinho
messi, fabregas

newcastle couldnt cope with the mancity midfield and attack. wilshere has a decent team but city were just too strong for them. going forwards messi and ribery caused havoc with leo getting on the scoresheet as well.

stoke 2-1 liverpool
xavi, higuain
rooney

stoke scored twice early on to take all three points against liverpool. liverpool did get back in the game thru rooney's penalty but stoke's midfield held on and they got the win.

arsenal 1-1 everton
cazorla
silva

arsenal were held at home by everton. the gunners conceded the first goal thru david silva. everton missed a couple of good chances to double their lead, and arsenal then got back in the game after caz's deflected shot went in.

villa 1-1 chelsea
tevez
mata

villa could not manage to beat chelsea at villa park. chelsea scored their equaliser on a counter-attack, and after that it was all villa as the home side turned the screw on chelsea. chelsea's defence held on for a vital point

Tottenham 0 - 1 Man Utd
- ; RVP

Strong performance from United today who preyed on the weaknesses at the back for Spurs. The pace of Moura and Rafael on the right really tested Enrique and it will be a cause for concern for manager Kamran. RVP took his now obligatory goal a game after a neat cross by Rafael midway through the first half.
-----------------------------------
Newcastle 1 - 2 City
Cavani; Schweinsteiger, Ibrahimovic

City have a beautiful attacking line up, and they came to a much improved Newcastle side with 3 points on their mind. Guarded by Busquets, the midfield pair of Schweinsteiger and Fabregas were able to push up, and Schweinsteiger opened the scoring by rifling in a shot which deflected in early on. Ibrahimovic finished in an unusually subdued fashion, latching onto a bobbling ball in a scramble before poking it away. Cavani brought some life back to the game after capitalising on Luiz's bad positioning against a Newcastle counter attack, but City held on to secure the points today.
-----------------------------------
Stoke 2 v 0 Liverpool
Aguero, Aguero; -

It was Liverpool's CM's that let them down today. Gerrard simply does not have the energy to play that deeper lying role, and is much better when unleashed further forward. Parker has never been all that impressive for me either. Aguero had a stunning game, and was unlucky not to take the ball home today. A header and a left footed volley got him a brace.
-----------------------------------
Sunderland 2 v 1 Fulham
Goetze, Alonso; Kagawa

This was a bit of an upset in truth. Fulham have a superb side, and should be looking to finish in the top three at the very least. But there are 3-4 fiery players in that team, and it showed up in this match. Pepe was set off early for a stamp on Torres, who missed the resulting penalty. Fellaini was the marched off after a rash late tackle on Goetze. Fulham still took the lead after some mercurial dribbling from Kagawa before a lashed shot allowed Fulham to breath a bit. But they began to sit deeper and deep before Goetze levelled in the 80th minute. From then on every single player bar Ferdinand, Howedes and Begovic was camped in the Fulham half. Alonso broke the deadlock with an arrowed shot that Hart saw late due to the bodies in the way. Very unlucky Fulham, but TheDude will be happy.
-----------------------------------
Arsenal 2 - 1 Everton
Walcott, Podolski; Smalling

Arsenal take the points from tonight's match. The game was won due to a good understanding between Benzema and his two wingers. The ball was launched up to the strong Frenchmen, who held it up before playing in Walcott or Podolski who capitalised with two fine finishes. Everton notched through a Smalling header from a corner but it wasn't to be. Perhaps if the fixture had been at Goodison it could've been different though, not to much between the sides.

Tottenham 1 - 2 Man Utd
Villa ----------- Rvp, Suarez

Both good attacking sides but Utd have stronger defence which won the day.

Newcastle 0 - 1 Man City
-------------- Messi

Newcastle are a very good side. City are simply that little bit better. Hard on the Geordies but that is the way of it.

And the rest...

Stoke 0 - 1 Liverpool
------------- Guv

Guv came out of his technical area to score a belter from 35 yards. What a guy.

Sunderland 1 - 0 Fulham
Howedes

Fulham have a strong defence but are less strong in midfield for me. Not bad just not as strong as Sunderland for who I like the Alonso/Gustavo combo. Howedes powered home a header for the only goal.

Arsenal 0 - 0 Everton

This was a bit dull. Neither side had the quality to break the other down.

Aston Villa 1 - 0 Chelsea
Tevez

Close but Villa have a good side and were better than Chelsea in the vital areas, defence being the vital one.

spurs 1-2 united
Villa - Van Persie, Suarez

Man Utd managed to nick the win here at the death through Suarez, however they were worth winners. Spurs went ahead through Villa early on, but RVP quickly equalised. Suarez scored a free kick late on after a rash tackle from Subotic.

newcastle 0-2 mancity
Ibra, Fabregas

A comfortable win for Man City, with them rarely getting out of 3rd gear. Newcastle never really looked up for it, and Ibra capitalised from a slack back pass from Godin just before half time. Fabregas completed the win in the 70th minute after a lovely reverse ball from Messi put him through 1 on 1.

stoke 1-0 liverpool
Lahm

A lacklustre game at the Brittania, but stoke deserved their win. They had a huge percentage of the possession, and Liverpool couldn't create any chances. Lahm scored after a lung bursting run down the wing, played a 1-2 with Aguero, before calmly slotting home.

arsenal 0-1 everton
Cabaye

An extremely tight game, won in the most bizzare of fashions. The game looked to be heading towards a 0-0, before Sagna played a loose ball back to Reina, who dithered in possession, robbed by Huntelaar who was forced wide, but managed to slide the ball across for Cabaye to tap into the empty net.

villa 1-1 chelsea
Gomez - Di Maria

Chelsea managed to take the lead at Villa Park against the run of play. Di Maria cooly finishing after a swift break away from a poor Modric corner. Villa composed themselves, and had wave after wave of attack, which eventually paid off, Gomez expertly heading in a Mata cross.

Tottenham 1-2 Man United - RVP, Ronaldo, Villa

Tottenham have a strong team and do cause united plenty of trouble however United have that little bit of quality to cancel out their midfield and win the game overall.

Stoke 0-2 Liverpool - Rooney, Hazard

Stoke are a good team but Liverpool are a special team and they were far too strong for stoke in this one. They had game winners everywhere.

Sunderland 1-1 Fulham - Gotze, Falcao

two teams of similar quality. they cancel each other out perfectly

Arsenal 0-0 Everton

Though they goal scorers in both teams I dont think anyone will score. Evenly matched.

Villa 1-0 Chelsea - Pirlo

Villa have a strong team and are at home. I believe they can cancel chelsea out and win the game.
