yeah deffo.

used to love it growing up as a kid, especially the early 90's when it was hogan, warrior, macho man, mr perfect etc.

was more cartoonish in those days.

went to summerslam in 1992, was one of the best nights of my life as kid.

Back then was the golden era for me. Remember the Superstars game on the GameBoy? Only had like 5 wrestlers.
When I got the 'state of the art' Raw game for the megadrive I was in heaven

It's quite good but annoying in parts.

Does your kid have a favourite? Is he a Cena guy?

For me, this means:

Robbo vs. Keano
Duran Duran vs. Nirvana
Transformers vs. X-Files
Hating girls vs. loving girls
Irn Bru vs. White Lightning

...and I think I still love all of the above, so too difficult to call

Re. wrestling, my mate has got Macho Man Randy Savage's face tattooed on her foot.

I'm trying to persuade her to get Ultimate Warrior on the other one. And she probably will, 'cos she's feckin mental

walkmans, bmxes, synth pop, earl technology... the 80's were quite cool because it was a good fusion of personality and image

early 90's grunge, raves, protests, mostly innovative and a reaction to the dire financial state we were in

late 90's was all about the maturing of the early 90's rebellion, britpop was fun music and technology gave us wealth so people were feeling good on the whole

If I had to pick between those two decades I simply couldn't

Maybe it's a sign of getting older but the last decade or so has scared the absolute crap out of me

That's amazing.

Of course rob. Watching wwe is like wetting you pants at the age of 30.

posted on 30/1/13

Okay Wayne.

I guess watching a bunch of grown men kicking an inflated pigs bladder around for 90 minutes is so much more mature

"Why is this article on the arsenal board. Most of them weren't even born in the 80/90's"

Ironic.

Was it really the government's fault that so many stupid s spent more than they could afford? The greed and stupidity of the general populace has to take its fair share of the blame. What's really criminal is that those that excercised more prudence are being dragged through the shít with everyone else - so if there's a lesson to learn it's, always do the wrong thing and wait for everyone else to bale you out and then fooking moan about it.

....or something like that.
