Don't like KJ much tbh.....If he is suggesting that we just keep our heads down and say nuthin....then I disagree. Celtic were never ones for keeping their mouths shut...even when they had no case. However in cases like Dougiegate, and Cadette they made political capital ( not to mention causing a referee strike ) out of being vocal in their oposition to the governing bodies.

Where I agree with KJ is when he says that we have a chance to change our playing style, and to progress through the leagues with some degree of confidence. Scraping 1 nil victories in the 3rd division is a poor return for the dosh we are investing. McCoist should be promoting a more adventurous style, playing a passing game, and getting away from the Kevin Kyle brand of football....we are missing an opportunity.

As for the alleged spat between Murray and Green.....its speculation....and he offers nothing in the way of independant verification, or quotes to back up his theory......poor stuff.

i have heard rumours of the spat between green and murray and their is never any smoke without fire.

apparently murray is far from impressed with green jetsetting around the globe meeting with supporters clubs. if true you can see murray's point of view. its not like green is on a campaign trail ffs

It's fair comment about the style of play Ginger, but as for Green, I think he's doing a decent job. He's made some mistakes, and I'm not too sure about some of the things he has said...but I'm willing to cut him some slack for now. I know a few folk that work with him at ibrox and they vouch for him as well...he's doing a lot of good behind the scenes which don't get reported.

Keith Jackson

He is right though about the style of football being played at Ibrox these days but that’s what you get when your team loses 24 first team players in 6 months and has 2 weeks to sign a squad that’s got to win two successive championships before we can sign anybody .

It’s a lot tougher than people think to play teams who week in week out that pack two rows of 5 across the back. Look at Celtic v Arbroath this season. That was with a full strength squad and it took 180 minutes to beat them by 1 goal.

The bottom line is we should never start with 1 up front and two holding midfielders in the 3rd division. Ally needs to stop giving these part timers so much respect. He stated against Peterhead at half time that "we've matched them so far" well fack that Ally. Matching a 3rd division team is not enough..nowhere near enough.

It's a sad day when there are more headlines about Green and his attitude than the football. And this the nub of the matter, Green has never had so much limelight and is loving it. He plays to the audience and fights aginst everything. Telling supporters not to support is just plain wrong. He's become a joke figure in football and Scotland and it needs to stop.
If the story is correct then I back Murray....at least he has some pedigree as a Rangers supporter and season ticket holder.

He is spot on re the football style being adopted by us, as others have said. This is down to our manager ...however what did people expect from the man that learned from Walter Smith. I mean, let's face it, Rangers were DIRE to watch from 2007 onwards even with a decent squad. We played awful football with players far superior to anyone else in the SPL.

Re Green .... I have been far from impressed with his attempts to be "one of the lads" and pander to the hardcore element. He does seem to love the sound of his own voice and should stop giving the Scottish media the opportunity to make him an object of ridicule. However, in a business sense he seems to be moving in the right direction.

It appears Jackson is attempting to create a "RANGERS IN CRISIS" story out of very little. It's the same old "rumour has it ...." garbage being sourced. Typical Scottish media ....nothing much to report on, throw all their efforts into sensationalised bs.

I can remember both Green and in particular McCoist saying that they didn't want any special favours and WANTED to start in Div3. McCoist said it was the fairest way. The majority of fans said the same thing.

Now they are boycotting Dundee Utd for the part they played in putting Rangers exactly where they said they wanted to be.

I genuinely think that the biggest problem rangers fans have is the inability to criticise their own. Celtic fans love McCoist being Rangers manager as he is pure mince but bears won't voice their opinion on this where it matters most at Ibrox. As for Green only time will tell but the recent record of supporting failed owenrs (Snaaw & Minty) must be a little worrying for intelligent bears. Wheeling out WATP chants doesn't change facts

The fans boycotted. Green and McCoist just backed the fans

There's a campaign on Rangers Media to name and shame the 'scabs' that went to Tannadice.

I'll start it for them. Charles Green.

For their own good, the time has come to stop playing the victim card and to get on about their business because, both on and off the park, today’s Rangers is seriously lacking in class and in danger of self harming all over again.

Maybe if people would let usThe move on gang should maybe have a word with the SPL tribunal folk, or the rearrangre the leagues mid-season folk

Spot on Zach

I wholehertedly disagree with a lot of this.

Mainly "McCoist has been given a blank canvas and right now he’s making an almighty mess of it. It’s time for him to get a grip before he too falls out with Green and an even bigger mess is created."

The guy cant sign anyone F F S!!

What kind of master artwork is the guy meant to paint on this blank canvas he's got with just the remnants of the old set of paints he had left, a couple of new colours, and kids paintbrushes??

"If a club like Swansea can rise up like a beautiful phoenix from their own financial abyss, then shouldn’t Rangers aspire to do the same?"...yes, we will, when we can ship out the guys that are not doing the job for us, bring the new talent up and through and build a team.....not patch together a quilt with little time and little resource and hope it lasts the winter!!

Right now, how we progress is not the main concern, progressing at all is!! We needed to get a team together that could get us through and out of the third division, thats what we are doing, it might not be pretty, but we are top of the third division by a long way and thats what matters.

Yer Swansea's of this world didnt have transfer embargo's, lose all their players and have to get nrew ones in over a summer, and patch together a side that would last about 18 months.

All this stuff is coming out becasue we got beaten 3-0 by Dundee United on Saturday.

Excuse me, but a Rangers team that was far stronger than the one that went to Tannadice on Saturday with hardly no support to back them up, a team that was flying high at the top of the SPL by a long way at the time, under Ally McCoist's leadership, lost 3-2 at Falkirk in the cup last season, were 2-0 down at one stage, and it needed the introduction of two now established Premier League players to bring us back to 2-2 before a goalkeeping mistake by the same guy in goal on Saturday gave Falkirk their win.

Whats that word again....oh aye....overreaction

IF we build abetter side after this transfer window, then go to Tannadice and put on a performance like that, then maybe this article will be justified.

But a team of kids and enough quality brought in to do the job in hand whe their motiviation to play sides like Elgin and Berwick is half ar$ed at best, going to Tannadice, without fans to back them up, and losing in a similar fashion to the 3-0 horsing they got at Ibrox against an Inverness side sitting 2nd in the SPL earlier on in the season.....you ask me, its par for the course of what this team's level is at the moment, its good enough to win the third division at a canter, good enough to trouble SPL sides a little, good enough to beat them when they have an off day, but not good enough to win everytime they face them, thats the truth of it, thats what real fans that have watched the team each week know, and thats why we are not overreacting like some paper columnist that thinks 3rd division Rangers are anywhere near the level SPL title contending Rangers were jsut because of the money they've spent on players that were nothing more than SPL also rans last season
