Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham
Modric ------- Ozil
Hamsik ------ Neymar

This game was closely contested as both of these teams are strong where their opponent is weak. Spurs dominated the wide areas and this is where their joy came from today with Chelsea's problems at full-back failing to cease. Yet I feel Chelsea's central midfield area are stronger than their counterparts', and this showed as both Modric and Hamsik got on the scoresheet. Spurs need a top CB too sooner rather than later.

===

Everton 0-1 Aston Villa
---------------- Yaya

LMA will be incredibly disappointed as his side almost held Villa. Everton are no mugs and they have a great side in truth, even if they do have a couple of players who need improving. Indeed, I'd say they are weakest in Essien and Cabaye, which proved fatal as Villa's most influential players today were Pirlo and Yaya, the latter reveling in his advanced position and scoring on debut.

===

Fulham 1-0 Arsenal
Kagawa

Another close game this as Arsenal's combative and dogged midfield gave Fulham problems. Luckily Hummels was on-song today and prevented Benzema from having any true clear-cut chances. Martinez stifled Cazorla well but I don't know if Fellaini's best position nowadays is in holding midfield, which could be problematic for Fulham. Kagawa scored the only goal as he was allowed free reign on the edge of the box after a failed clearance.

===

Liverpool 2-1 Sunderland
Iniesta ----------- Gotze
Navas

Guv's inspired purchase of Monreal looks to have won them this game as the left-back played extremely well on his debut to silence Pedro. Sunderland rely heavily on their wingers in my opinion, arguably their two most influential players, and this was their downfall today. Alonso and Gustavo dominated the midfield area which is even more frustrating for TD. Torres was again out of form and Sunderland must seriously consider replacing him.

===

Man Utd 2-1 Newcastle
Ronaldo ------ Kroos
Vidal

United were pretty comfortable today in victory as Newcastle have failed to address key concerns. Marchisio and Moutinho simply don't work as a midfield duo, in comparison to the balance, dynamic midfield pairing of Vidal and Lucas. Suarez was given plenty of space today, as was Ronaldo, and this proved the killer blow as the Portuguese scored before assisting Vidal with the winner.

Chelsea vs Tottenham
My game
...
Everton 1 - 2 Aston Villa
Mueller ---- Di Maria, Ramos

This game looked to be heading for a draw but Ramos' header late on game the visitors all 3 points. Earlier Di Maria but Villa ahead with a great passing move but Muller equalised with a 20 yard crisp strike.
...
Fulham 2 - 1 Arsenal
Fellaini ------- Wallcott
Falcao

Arsenal were quite unlucky to lose here but they made some bad defensive mistakes which allowed Falcao to latch on to a poor back-pass from Sagna to allow him the winning goal. Earlier Arsenal took the game to Fulham and Wallcott was giving Adriani a torrid time. Wallcott scored with a low drive but the home side equalised as Vermalen dived in on Fellaini but missed both man and ball completly and Fellaini scored from 12 yards. Arsenal did push for a comeback but Podolski's shot smashed the bar unfortunately.
...
Liverpool 2 - 1 Sunderland
Rooney ------- Pedro
Oscar

Sunderland scored early on with pedro's clever run and he rounded the keeper to score the opening. Chances were few in the first half but in the second half Iniesta found some space and fed Rooney who blasted past the keeper. The home side had the momentum and when Oscar was brought on he and Iniesta combined and Oscar delivered a low shot to the corner for the winner.
...
Man City 2 - 2 Stoke
Messi ----------- Aguero, Bale
Ribery

Talent galore in this one and City were lucky not lose this at the end as Stoke piled on the pressure in the last 10 mins and hot both the bar and post but couldnt find the winner. City started off the better and started to control the midfield and it was Fabregas who fed Ribery and he shot for the opener. Stoke then quicken the pace and Xavi was pulling the strings with quick crisp passing and he accidently passed to Messi once (by default of course). Xavi was the provider for the equaliser when Aguero made a run and latched on the Xavi pass and lobbed the keeper. Stoke dominated now and Bale was on full flow and was hard to stop him. Bale started on the left and flew past Zabaleta and Luiz and arrowed his shot to the keepers left and in. The City defence were struggling to contain but it just took one counter from City that Yaya started and raced clear but unselfishly passed to Messi who tapped in for the equaliser.
...
Man Utd 3 - 1 Newcastle
Ronaldo -------- Cavani
Suarez
Moura

Utd's defence were solid and the midfielders helped out to keep the Newcastle attackers at bay. On the other end, Suarez was causing mayhem when he started running towards the Newcastle defence. Suarez nutmegged Agger and shot low for the opener. Suarez then assisted for the 2nd after nutmegging Godin and squared for Ronaldo who belted it. Newcastle broke their shackles and went for it and as a result pulled a goal back through Cavani's fierce shot. Utd however, scored a fantastic goal when RVP found Ronaldo and he sprinted on the wing and crossed for Moura who volleyed home a superb goal.

Chelsea 1 - 1 Tottenham
Gomez ------- Villa

Not much to separate these sides. They have equal strength and weaknesses in all the different areas across the pitch which led to a draw with both strikers grabbing a goal.

Everton 2 - 2 Aston Villa
Silva -------- Tevez
Huntelaar -- Yaya

Villa are stronger overall but Everton have a very good side and exploited Villa's main weakness, their right hand flank. Robinho provided no cover for Alves when the FB roamed forward and Silva had acres of space st times to cause havoc. One goal, one assist for Huntelaar wiped out Villa's strikes. Good match.

Fulham 1 - 0 Arsenal
Falcao

Very tight match with both sides working hard to close space and keep chances to a minimum. When the fleeting chances came it was Falcao that took his as Benzema worked the keeper but could not put it away. Fine margins.

Manchester City 2 - 0 Stoke City
Ibra
Messi

Probably the two strongest sides in the league with quality everywhere you look. Central midfield was the key battle and City's trio had the better of their opponents. With Messi, Ribery and Ibra up front ad well... A goal in each half won the match.

Manchester United 2 - 1 Newcastle United
Rvp 2 --------- Cavani

Not too much between these sides but Utd have the stronger defence and better wide players. Add Suarez invention to Rvp finishing and they won they day despite being run close.

Chelsea 1-1 Spurs
Mata - Reus

A tight game at the Bridge today. Spurs have the stronger attack and Chelsea the stronger back line, cancelling each other out quite well. Mata scored early on direct from a free kick, and Reus equalised late on from the spot.

Everton 0-2 Villa
Khedira, Tevez

Comfortable victory in the end for Villa here. Everton worked hard for the most part, but the lack of a world class striker, coupled with Villa's strong defence meant they never broke through. Khedira and Tevez scored 1 each in a 5 minute period just after the half.

Liverpool 1-0 Sunderland
Rooney

Liverpools's Iniesta and Rooney tormented Sunderland for the most part today, Iniesta able to easily create opportunities through the Sunderland defence. Rooney score just before the half, and in truth should have scored more. Torres offered little up front for Sunderland, and didn't really show any signs of getting back into the game.

Man City 1-1 Stoke
Ibra - Xavi

A very tight game, which Stoke were for the most part the stronger side, however home comforts got City through. Man City are fantastic going forward and scored early through Ibra, but the lack of a world class defender allowed Stoke too many chances, 1 of which was eventually taken by Xavi.

Man Utd 2-1 Newcastle
Ronaldo, RVP - Cavani

Man Utd were in control here, quickly going 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes. They should have scored more, but wasted their chances. Cavani scored a late consolation for Newcastle, but in truth they never really looked interested.

chelsea 1-1 spurs
mata
ozil

both teams had to settle for a draw at the bridge. chelsea were the better team in the 2nd half but they could not find a winning goal against a well drilled spurs side.

everton 0-1 villa
tevez

an overall stronger villa side dominated proceedings at goodison park. tevez headed the visitors in front and they protected their lead in the game. everton had their chances on set pieces but villa held on for the win.

fulham 0-1 arsenal
benz

an upset of sorts in london as arsenal scored a late smash and grab victory over fulham at the cottage. karim benzema got up high over hummels to crash home an emphatic header to give arsenal all 3 pts in a fiercely contested london derby.

manc 0-1 stoke
aguero

the away team's defence won the game for them as a tight match was decided by a moment of brilliance by kun aguero. mancity pushed stoke hard for an equalizer but it was not their day. a weak defence will stop their title charge.

manutd 2-1 new
suarez, rvp
marchisio

manutd got the 3 pts easily against newcastle united at old trafford. suarez and van persie gave the home side a two goal at half time and although newcastle scored right after the break, it was not enough to get them a share of the pts.

Everton 0-2 Villa
- ; Yaya, Chiellini

Weakness for Everton is still that central area. All good players, but with the level of midfielders in the league currently they'll get found out. Good news is the rest of the team is fairly strong, so one or two signings could see Everton really shoot up. Aston Villa dominated this match because of the midfield problem, with energy and sheer quality to control the game. Yaya got the first after a typical barrelling run through the opposition before Chiellini nodded home to secure the victory.
---------------------------------------------------
Fulham 1-0 Arsenal
Nani; -

Nani took the plaudits today after giving Sagna a torrid time at RB. He also got his name on the scoresheet after beating his man before whipping a cross-shot which found the far top corner.
---------------------------------------------------
Liverpool 0 - 0 Sunderland
- ; -

Both teams evened themselves out here. Strong in different areas it made for an interesting game though. The pairing of Gerrard and Parker might well get found out against better central attackers, but Sneijder and Torres look like shadows of the players they once were.
---------------------------------------------------
Manchester City 1-0 Stoke
Ibra; -

What turned the game here for me was the more attacking line-up of City's. With two midfielders pushed further up Xavi was put under pressure to perform defensive duties which just isn't is forte. Schweinsteiger's power paid off, beating Xavi before sliding a ball in for Ibrahimovic to smash home. Unlucky for Stoke, because there really isn't much between these two.
---------------------------------------------------
Manchester United 2 - 1 Newcastle
RVP, Ronaldo; Cavani

Very good game here, controlled by Suarez, as much as he's hated you have to admit he's some player. He pulled United's attacks together, linking midfield and attack brilliantly. RVP scored first from the spot after a rash tackle by Agger on Suarez. Ronaldo took the second with a long range effort that just dipped in time and hammered in off the bar. Cavani quickly got Newcastle back into the game with a nifty turn and first time finish but it just wasn't enough against a fantastically solid Vidic led defence.
