Under Di Matteo Mikel was finally offering more in an attacking role as well as defensively, I was convinced he was going to score this season and he came close a few times. Unlikely now
Yes he is being wasted in dm, he should some positive flashes of what he is capable of under Rdm when he was alowed to drift forward.
No he isn't being wasted at dm. Put it this way, he's no where near as good at attacking as Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Ramires or Lampard.
Looks good at the ACON because the quality is pretty low.
Mikel should play the CM role but have the freedom to play through balls and go forward while the other CM holds.
He is not fit enough/quick enough on the ball to play CM at a top level IMO (thuogh I've noticed he's been making an effort to play quicker in some games IMO). Mikel has also generally still been pretty deep for NIgeria I think, in the games I've seen.
If Mikel has the ability to move the play forward and advance the attack, he should integrate those abilities into his given role (i.e. DM) within the team. If he's not doing his best in the DM role, the role is being wasted on him, not the other way around. Either way, there is no chance that he's better than any of our midfield players at creating chances or shooting, so who would he displace if we move him into a more attacking position?
Thanks for paying us money to take him from us.

So what. You didn't get it back from us.
It doesn't alter the fact we received, from Chelsea, the sum of 12 million for the lad.
Thanks.
Are you kidding? Yes we did
