If he plays with 2 strikers that can't score does Juan Mata?

"for example... every radio station and sky sports news still assume we are selling modric. lol. cant wait for their excuses as to why he is still a spurs player come september"
...probably something like "Spurs fail to cash in on want-away midfielder Luka Modric"
Not knowing much about Mata, who would he displace in the current squad?
oddiY - As he's a left winger, Bale
If we signed Rooney we could have Wazza Mata in attack.
sorry mate, wasnt thinking
If we had the binman out of Corrie and played Kaboul as centre forward we'd have:
Watts Mata Younes
(apologies to Joe Dolce)
Goddamnit we need a striker. Crouch won't be scoring 30 yarders all season
Arsenal:
*CL football
*Better wages
Spurs:
*Europa League which is a step down from Valencia who are in the CL
*Lesser wages
Unless he is a die hard Spud, he is coming to Arsenal.
He'll only be going to Arsenal in that case if Wenger takes the soft toys and boiled sweets out of his bumbag, and finds his wallet. It's going to take 21m Euros to activate the buyout clause, and somehow I dont think throwing Eboue into the deal will be enough of a sweetner.

to be fair though, it looks like arsene might finally let the chain off of cesc fabregas and so it will free up the materials needed to capture Mata.
Plus wenger likes em young... he will pay a premium
Mata is quality and when I watched him for Spain's Under 21s he ran the games he played and wasn't a winger. He played midfield, with a tendency to drift a bit to the left, a bit like, erm... what's his name? Little bloke with long hair?
He'll only be going to Arsenal if he actually makes a bid.
@lancs does he start out on the left? Cos if we made a bid for him, I wonder what harry has in mind for Bale.
He tended to play in the middle in the games I saw and was excellent. Great first touch, typical clever Spanish midfielder - very much like Fabregas but, as I say, with a tendency to drift left.... just like Modders.
Everything went through him and he pulled all the strings for another very good Spanish side who were the class act in the tournament.
Well, like I said before he seems like a player that would take us to the next level but I hope it's not at the expense of a striker. I can't imagine we'd do 2 20+ million deals in a window.
Can't imagine he'd come to be honest. But he'd be a great addition if he did. Maybe we're confident of getting a striker or two already?
