Because they would lose a fortune in gate money.
Never understood why the seats were so expensive in the west. You have to be anorexic or a midget to squeeze into them. Nice view of the East stand though.
bluememe would they??
possibly improve gates if there's more value for money after all there already dropping to 15 quid on a midweek game
Nice view of the East stand though.
..................................................
Location, location, location!!!
East stands lower prices
Cat a, 36 b, 34, c, 28
Kop
Cat a, 31 b, 26 c, 20
So look how much per head they would lose out on? Bare in mind people sit there, and they sell well if a big game or we are doing well.
So if they was the same price (bare in mind cheaper tickets does not guarantee more will come)
Your looking at about £5 lose per head on cat A, £8 lose per head for cat b and c on ever seats sold if they was the same price.
Not saying its right but trying to look at it from some one who wants to make money point of view. It's just gets more income I think.
How well are them midweek a games selling??? Bet they going lose a fortune on them if not carefull.
i see what you're saying i do! im just thinking if they get more in on cheaper St's would it work out better over a full season?? after all the west is never full and the east is dead too!
Empty seats bring in zero pounds.
It's ok saying £36 brings in more cash, what actually happens is that these seats are empty.
revie kind of my point really why not drop west stand tickets to Kop level prices
But if you lower the season ticket prices then you have to lower the match by match prices to?
And it does not guarantee they will sell.
But things have to change now because people have had enough with the prices and midtable and are not turning up.
But if they did lower tickets and fans still don't turn up we could be in trouble in the long run if we can't make the lose up.
I ask this and nobody every answers it
Why do all the other clubs in this league sell season tickets alot lower than us ??
Do they have to pay rent on there grounds and training grounds?
1.5M+ (gos up every year)
Why do we make more then most at this level yet have to sell to stay ok ??
Why do all the other clubs in this league sell season tickets alot lower than us ??
That is a question. You would need to look at other clubs overheads etc as to the reason. If clubs had to breakeven they would need to either cut overheads or increase prices. Would we? Think if you could get the crowds we could decrease prices.
Take Bristol for example who are losing £12m a year (beleive this is right for last 2 seasons) even to make up say 50% of this how much would they have to increase prices.
But all these clubs don't make the same revenue as leeds on sponsorship etc etc, its miles above everyone we at this level
Sheff we'd turnover a third what leeds is
Meme, do other clubs have our massive fan base?
Most of which won't go anymore due to many reasons. Pack the fans in is the answer.
If you don't then you get what is happening now, less and less fans paying more and more
Bates tried to price fans out of ER, it's the only thing he succeeded with
If we're looking at a similar season next season, it's going to be worrying. 20k will become a good crowd.
Make or break time already for the new owners, better get spending in the summer.
The trend is making 16k look like a good gate next year , with the average nearer to that of the dark days of the 80s, ie 14-15k. Big club my rs! I'd forgotten how many fair weather fans we have, Turn up at an away game and the average age must be low 40s and thats pulled down by a sprinkling of young uns. Its mostly the same old faces that are actual diehards that attend in spite of everything.
