Wilshere. Not even questionable.

Check back in about a year, maybe 18 months and you'll know.

Depends on the circumstances I guess. Wilshere has a 5 year deal, so absolutely no bargaining ground there. Both would be at the very least £35 million pound players, probably more to be honest

bale would command the bigger fee at the minute, but wait til wilshere has had 2 or 3 consistent injury free seasons and he may be worth more and be the better player

posted on 7/2/13

Really? So you think its not even questionable. How much do you think Wilshire would go for then?

Wilshere, he's better and younger. Bale is a poor man's Walcott

Really? Thought he signed a 4 year deal last summer?

Jungle_Bhoy, that is a very simplistic and unrealistic view of the transfer market.

ps, a couple of games? You don't watch Arsenal very often do you?

Wilshire has not even scored in the premier league this season (to my knowledge) and was getting rave reviews for England last night when his only notable contribution was giving away a penalty, yeah he mixed it up in midfield with the Brazilians, but did not make any game changing contribution. Bale last night scored and set up the other. Bale can literally win a game for his team on his own, Wilshire cannot, or not yet at least.

Its not really though is it, Bale has scored hat-tricks in the premier league and the champions league. He scored last night, he scored a wonder goal the weekend, he scored another wonder goal before that. He scored a wonder goal at old trafford this season, he has destroyed teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Inter Milan in the past. Not played well, destroyed.

What did he do then, please enlighten me. He just looked busy to me, good player but Bale is different class.

Of course it will be Bale.

He's the more attacking player and thus more valuable.

Wilshere is a CM.

Attacking players will always be more worthy than two-way midfielders.

I'd say Bale, if he were sold tomorrow, he's go for £40mill, no more no less.

Wilshere, around £35mill. Has he, however not been injured last season, then he'd be worth more than Bale.

Likes of Madrid or Barca would prefer a player like Wilshere than Bale.

I guess that is what Andy Carroll did before he moved to Liverpool

ps, he has never destroyed Arsenal. Dived against us, yes, but destroyed us?

Also, wonder goal at OT? Scottish football so bad that that goal is considered a wonder goal

Also, Theo Walcott must be as worth as much as Bale on that basis, scores hat-tricks, destroyed Spurs and Chelsea in the past etc.

I think its too early to make comparisons like this........................Wilshere is a very good player & I would say on current market values would command £20m, rising over the next few years if he aintains fitness & keeps out of trouble.

Bale on the other hand is worth more in the market, certainly in the upper £30m's, possibly even £40m+, even though I think the sums are ludicrous, its a sellers market!

50p

how can you say what Bale would go for only spurs value that and sorry but i pay for Bale over wilshere any day because he has proved a great player Wilshere like i said good but stilk along way to go

95% passing success. Including the pass that created the first goal. Key passes to set up direct chances. Broke up play a lot, more tackles than any midfielder on the pitch. Not sure what more you could want from a midfielder.

Bale easily, he would go for £40M+, he is approaching his prime right now and is in top physical condition, he is also a forward and they usually cost more money than midfielders. Wilshere has only been fit a few months and is only starting to consistently show what a talent he is, he is still 2 or 3 years behind Bale in development.

Bale is a quality dangerous player who, when he leaves Spurs whether this summer or next, will more than likely go for £50m.
He'll be, however, the best player in the world to never play in a top international competition so will never get up among the very best ever.
