ps, he has never destroyed Arsenal. Dived against us, yes, but destroyed us?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
You have a short memory, the season we first finished 4th we beat your lot 2-1 bale was outstanding in that game and either scored the first or the winner, but he was amazing, the next game was chelsea and he ran them ragged getting Terry sent off, scored the 1st again or the winner.
Oh, so a good game = destroying?
Rooney, Young et al destroyed us at Old Trafford last season, Bale had a decent game against us.
Unless you think Theo Walcott destroyed you in the 5-2s ?
If offered £50m do you think Levy will sell?
It's a good down payment on a new stadium...

He did, no denying it although 1 of those times it was more to do with us being a man down, but yes Walcott ran us ragged, he don't do that often enough against the big teams to be in bales class though.
Ridiculous article, desperately trying to get as many comments as possible from fans of both teams who will inevitably compare both players.
Ultimately, they're both fantastic players. It's very difficult to compare in terms of ability as they play completely different positions, and, as Saint says, Bale would command a premium for being more of an attacking player - the bizarre ways of the transfer market, eh?
So can we not just accept that they're both exceptional talents? As for the guy saying Wilshere hasn't done anything to justify the praise - that's crazy. You sound like the United fans who joke about Cleverly being better. He's been, for me, our best player this season since his return and you're forgetting that he had an exceptional 18 months pre-injury, too.
I'm not sure how this is even debatable. At this moment in time It's very obviously Gareth Bale. He's further on in his development, he's been consistently excellent for a longer period of time and he's an attacking, game-breaking (in terms of final stats) forward. The game breakers and goalscorers and those who's most telling work is in that final third will always command the sexy figures unless the buying club is oil backed and thus crazy.
And this is without mentioning that he plays for a club who's board were able to expunge £33m in selling Luka Modric, a superb player yes but one they've not had much troub;le replacing. We struggled to get £35m for Cesc Fabregas, a player who was the absolute heartbeat of our football club and one of the world's most complete football players full stop.

Yep you got robbed on the fabregas deal

Bent over, violated and laughed at. Sure, we didn't have much leverage, but it was still an utter embarrassment watching those negotiations unfold and the way in which the club allowed themselves to be abused - as we have in the sale of almost every one of those stars we allow to leave every summer.
The saddest thing of all is after Barca pretty much ráped us in public, Wenger then goes and says that we aren't signing David Villa because we have to respect Barca's wishes not to sell. No we don't you fecking pleb, we rolled over 7 times for them, take the fecking initiative
Honestly, it's utterly pitiful how small time the club, with Wenger's never ending approval, allow themselves to act time and time again. We've not taken any real game-breaking initiative in the transfer market since we gazumped Europe in the signing of Sol Campbell. Sad.
The next time they start sniffing around one of our players, we should ask them a lump sum of some 30 M as an 'entry fee' to even begin the negotiations. And then valuate said player at 100-120 M.
I liek Wilshere and He's obviously a great talent. But can Arsenal fans please stop saying how he dominated Barca's midfield all by himself. Barca absolutely crushed, and Wilshere was the only one showing some fight, but he he still got played around like most teams do at Barca.
Blah blah blah, what a silly comparison. Wilshire is a midfield general and bale is a attacking goal machine. What is there to compare?
