Pav Wants To Stay

He's lazy, not stupid. No other club of Spurs' stature is liable to be interested. He, and his agent know it.

If as you say he's lazy then he needs a coach to inspire him. I'd like to see him stay,

If he lazed around the pitch and slammed in 2 goals week in week out I would keep him!

Far more importantly S.S.N are saying that Bale has committed his future to Spurs....Sorry no more details just seen a headline

AanP.. Didn't he sign a 4 year contract!.. Thats commitment enough

Thudd , apparently contracts are not worth the paper they are printed on so the players just have to keep on saying that they are happy and after the 50th time they say it about 10% start to believe them

You are correct, I see a contract as a nice big bumper bonus pay day!

Then they leave a year later

I bet you any money you like that those teams and players that and who had a good ending to the season will have a good start to next season. So Liverpool who had a bad ending will have a bad beginning and so will Chelsea. City had an iffy ending and so will have an iffy start. Pavlyuchenko had a good few last games and so I'd like him to stay. Torres will flop all next season. Arsenal were also iffy and could lose some top players(let's hope so).Man U will be as consistent as ever.

==================

Thats the problem though, he is lazy & he doesn't score 2 goals week in, week out.

Lazy and ineffective, the occasional wonder goal doesn't make a good player, just a frustrating one

I'd like to keep him over both Crouch and Defoe. He may be incredibly lazy in build up play and take on shots seemingly just for the hell of it sometimes but at least he tries. Better goalscorer than the other two, unless Defoe's decline was merely temporary.

I think he has worked a lot harder in recent games.

I hope when we start next season he is not our first choice striker, that will mean we have not progressed.

I would like him to stay and prove that he can do it week in week out. Hopefully with a good run in the team alongside a new striker, he might jjust show us what he is made of. He does seem to fall foul of 'Arry with his attitude, so maybe he needs a few words to set him straight from the manager and be made to feel wanted.

I just dont think he is good enough full stop. The occasional great goal, rubbish in the air, poor first touch and nowhere near the quality necessary for a club who wants to be a regular top 4 side.

I would think being the 2nd top goal scorer, he deserves at least one more season beofre we write him off completely, but with our current squad the size it is, i don't think we'll see him get enough consistent starts.

Please keep him.
