Agree texasburtonfan it's over 24 hours later and I still can't believe we won the game and with some at times excellent football.

We are in the promotion scrap ! Whatever happens we are still a work in progress and continuing to improve.

Exactly we are still a work in progress and GR has worked wonders with this squad to get us to where we are. Don't want to wake up yet, it's our highest league position ever and if we continue our home form at least we should have a pop at the play offs - amazing for a pub team!!

Agree with all,
Credit to the whole team.
Expected to get walloped with makeshift defence but when you looked at the defence it wasn't so makeshift.
Thought everyone played well but again Tommo shone at the back with a crucial save.
Lets hope it carries on then the ficke Burton public might turn out and support the team.
Poor home crowd for a big game.

Pez - agree about the crowd size. The Beeb said almost 4,000 at the game. I read on the Rotherham Footymad site that they sold 1,500 tickets. The math says less than 2,500 Burton "home" fans. Very sad number for a Saturday game. I think it must be something in the water in Burton . . . . LOL

I reckon its a combination of low wages in the area, unemployment and the damage done by last seasons disastrous form under Pesch after Christmas plus other factors like not advertising our matches outside of the stadium. If you look though attendances are down at many clubs in our league which must be due to lack of spare cash in peoples pockets due to the economic climate nationally.
