"The top two in Spain in my opinion are much better than United."

On paper.

United will not in all probability get past Madrid in the CL, so will still play strong teams in the league in my opinion.

---------

Why do you think that sandy? Man united have just as big a threat in RVP as Real Madrid have in ronaldo. Higuain, benzema and ozil haven't been as good as last year.

United despite getting through their group have been pretty ordinary for the past couple of seasons in the CL, I would expect Real to be far to strong for them over two legs, and would expect a comfortable Madrid win in the week, to take to Old Traffford for the second leg.

------------

Dortmund outplayed Real Madrid twice in the group stages even before mourinho threw his toys out of the pram. They're always expected to win the champs league but this season more than ever due to being 16 points behind barca. Huge amount of pressure on them and ronaldo in particular to get the job done which might play into united's hands

"Huge amount of pressure on them and ronaldo in particular to get the job done which might play into united's hands"

equally possible that it becomes United's nightmare

toss a coin

I'd back united to score at least one at the bernabeu, at worst a 2-1 defeat

I am merely giving an opinion, and that is Madrid will knock United out. Having watched Real Madrid`s reserves destroy Seville last night, I know who I would rather be backing.

United will definitely score. Keeping them out will be the problem.

I`m going 3-0 to Real Madrid.

Real will knock United out with relative ease.

Fair enough sandy,

I just have my doubts that they can just shift all the internal strife to the side and just turn it on against man united. I expect a typical 'European performance' from united on Wednesday. Keep it tight and frustrate the crowd, experienced pros like vidic, Ferdinand, carrick, evra and RVP can handle the heat

Real should knock United out with relative ease.

I'm not sure they will.

This is team ethos v talent at the end of the day.

Will be interesting.

Lmao we played at the wembley final winning home and away against cheklsea and schalke 04 and the the schalke 04 game could have been in double figures. Last season I believe was the first time real madrid went further then us in the coimpetition since 2006 where we didn't get past group stages.

Having said that its all in the past and man utd and real madrid are evenly matched.

posted on 10/2/13

Also man utd were top of 5 year UEFA coefficient until last seasons failure in europe. If that is being ordinary being the most consistent team for the 5 years previously I would htae to think what being good would be lol.

Liverpool were top of the UEFA coefficient as well

stats.

Stats suck, but Sandys predictions are even worse and now he has said that United are definitely through

Arsenal are gay

After we beat spurs at Anfield on the 10th of March, there will probably only be three points or so between those two, with games to play.

I read that as :

After we cannot beat Spurs at Anfield, there will probably be at least 10 pts or so between those two, with games to play.

Madrid will dispatch United. None of the English teams are going through to the CL quarters.

Jose always has the beating of Fergie tactically.

chelseamf just like when we battered inter milan. The only reason jose mourinho won with porto because of controversial decisions. Porto were very lucky to go through.

"Jose always has the beating of Fergie tactically."

Jose is tactically a master.
That will be the only worry for Fergie, that even if Madrid are not on song, Jose will still be able to setup to nullify the attacking force of Man Utd at OT.

posted on 11/2/13

the irony was when we played inter milan away in 08-09 ,man utd could easily have scored 3 or 4 goals that game.

Fergie 2 wins in 14 over Jose...

Looking forward to it.

Get CR7 riled up and temper-tantrumed, and he might play silly, and we could win at Madrid....but never ever sell this guy short!
Other factor is we still have a great strike force of our own, RvP, Rooney and Hernandez, who ain`t exactly chopped liver!
The team of United is not as bad as some people spout. (ain`t they way ahead in the PL whereas Real M. are a lowly third in la liga.
Nah, I think we got more than an equal chance of picking up the marbles.
Have faith lads and stop putting down the good guys (United)
