Give Livermore a go. I know he's limited, but so is Parker and at least Livermore has the energy and physicality to get around the pitch.
Parker did ok I thought he won the ball and put in a lot of tackles, but his passing this season has let him down...

Most people were rating Parker on here so I thought I was watching another game!
Parker was terrible and so frustrating. He seems to get himself in good positions but always slows down the attack, dordles on the ball, does the 360 parker turn then passes it straight back were he got it from which is usally sideways or backwards
Defence wise though he is good, that's the only thing keeping him in the first 11 imo.

It's so frustrating though!
I think we are now realising just how good Sandro is. For me he is first name on the sheet along with Bale.

I am surprised at how advanced Parkers position is a lot of the time.
I'd prefer it if we was just that shield in front of the back 4. I know that a 442 needs a more dynamic CM than that but he seems to spend so much time in the opposition half yet he cannot deliver any kind of killer pass or go past a man.
Mr Chelsea....I think it is more of a problem this season because last season Parker had Modric & VDV on the pitch. This season we lack that sort of creativity and Parker seems to be trying to offer creativity which is not working.

Dev: Great point again
I dont think Dembele has contributed in the final third as much as he perhaps should have, especially when playing with less creative Dempsey, not Holtby in front of him. I do think Parker's attempts at foraying forward are stunting this even further.
I for one was quite impressed with the work Scotty put in against Newcastle, perhaps looking now, it would have been more benficial for a player with better technique in the final third to have been in those positions.
Parker cannot operate with a similarly slow CM.
The combo just does not provide a fast enough outlet to the forwards/flanks.

Even taking away his attempts at creating, He overdoes the whole role he's supposed to play imo. He makes needless passes to players when he's better off just passing it forward and going back to his position. I just dont understand his thinking sometimes. For eg, Dembele gives him the ball. Parker immediately gives it back to him when he's under no pressure himself and could have taken it forward. He repeats this with a lot of your other players. If he cut that out, he'd be less of an annoying player because the dogwork he puts in, to hassle opponents, is pretty good

Parker did ok, but he needs to know his limitations and stay in the area of the pitch he's best
I am usually a big parker critic but disagree with this article. His passing was still a bit wayword and frustrating, but there was a period of 10 or so minutes when he was the best player on the pitch. Sprayed that inch perfect ball to lennon on the wing, then afterwards cleverly played through bale at the edge of the box with the outside of his boot. He created more than Dembele did in the first half, easily.
He did well, but like Edin said he was dominate for a good period of the game, but he does need to limit his area on the pitch, the higher up is Dembele's role
I think Parker should take up professional skateboarding, he did more 360's than Tony Hawkes.
I don't think Parker was as bad as what some of you are saying. There were about 6 players on Sunday that were probably worse.Parker going .forward obviously is not the best option but what choice did he have with Dembele way off form. Someone had to do something and Parker took the initiative.
Parker as a defensive midfielder though is fantastic. He stops attacks before they become dangerous so a lot his play goes unnoticed. We're very lucky to have him as a DM back up to Sandro.
Besides that he is a fighter and for how many seasons Spurs fans felt that we missed having a fighter in the team.
Parker had one of those games where he was annoying for half the game and brilliant in other bits. You cannot fault this effort and he did a lot of work to break up Newcastle's flow.
Going forward (or round in circles) drive you nuts but on balance he was a positive influence on the game.
Lennon's had a few off games, Bale is getting all the headlines so everyone else looks average
Disagree about Lennon having off games. Sure he needs to vary his wing play and not always try and get to the byline to cross the ball. He should cut inside more often he's lethal then. Also Lennon's work rate on sat was superb. He's putting in tackles and tracking back all the time to back up Walker. He's also the main outlet for long diagonal balls and the reason for this is that his first touch is pretty phenomenal! Lennon didn't have an off game on say he put a shift in to allow other players (Bale) to be creative.
