Wenger still the best handler of young talent with or without the trophies.
---------
Fergie will do anything to win trophies, which is good, but in long term is very damaging for a player.

Phil Neville and John O'Shea look better ever since they've left, to be fair.

Jones is a talented defender, but he's slowly being ruined if he keeps being played this way. If Fergie does that vs Madrid, Madrid will beat utd at ease.

Welbeck too, but then again I don't rate him that high.

@Suso The Magician (U11770)

so you think Baresi will be in for a tough nite on Wednesday?

His job to spend 90+ minutes running around chasing the worlds 2nd best player just like he did(a good job I may add) on Fellani yesterday
============================
It might have worked against fellaini but it won't against Ronaldo. Fellaini is strong and powerful but not fast!
Jones is IMO even slower! He'll struggle to keep up with CR7 pace!

Reminds me of the time last season when Celtic had a player chase Messi all game. Anti-football at its finest.

@ttliv87 (U11882)

I dont mind when the Stokes of this world play antifootball and accept that they are not good enough.Fair enough if their manager has such a low self esteem, what I hate is when they win games using antifootball then go to town about it claiming they are the better team.Thats just plain wrong.No professional footballer goes to practice and wakes up every day to be a hatchet man.Its like prostitution, an un honourable profession bourne out of necessity.

Imagine if united fans beat Real with antoi football, I bet you almost every united fan will say that means they are better than Real.Of course a few will point to the weakness in their midfield that means almost every second half of most games they are dominated and have to hang on.

I dont buy into the stoke culture.the Wigans and Southamptons of this world have proved u can win games playing football.

@JackDArsenalWarrior (U9900)

I must say one thing you have to admire about Fergie which makes him extra ordinary is , I cant think of any other manager in world football that can win a league title with the midfield united have.Its basically a super strikeforce and an average defence carrying a substandard midfield to a premier league title, only Fergie.

Reason why City is struggling this season is because their midfield has dropped a few levels.they still have the best defence and decent strikers.

The kid must regret not chosing Arsenal when
Wenger came calling.
.....

Yeah I recon he's gutted

Ruiney, Arsenal may be a stepping stone club like Evra put it but they still export the best players around the premiership and outside.Yes a feeder club or whatever you want to call it but the players that leave Arsenal are to quality players irrespective.

We can never trully know but chances are Jones would be a far better player at Arsenal.

Sure, the Steve Bould effect

I don't get it? Either Fergie is;
A) a past his best drunken bully, or,
B) The only reason a below par team continues to win trophies and set the pace.

Of course the bouldy effect.Arsenal have conceded less goals than united this season.The 12 point gap cant mask how gash the united defence is.

Im sure sunday was your 1st clean sheet in donkey years.Made sheet loads betting both teams to score on united games this season.

Least at united the guy will have a chance of being there for good decade, at arsenal 1st sign that he's a good player he will be in a city or barce shirt the following year

posted on 11/2/13

Who was the last good CB that Wenger brought through?
You can't claim the Bould effect with no evidence of him bringing through any good CBs. He may have helped sure up the defence of established players, but bringing through players with potential is a completely different thing.
