2 play off places, finished 3rd,only behind WBA and Newcastle with the squads that they had.

You can't title your article 'The truth' when it's quiet the opposite.

I was more than happy with SOD. I believe he was the right man for the long term.

Sadly, I don't own the club.

However, I think this time Billy will get us up...as long as he keeps calm and the owners back him 100%

The one thing that does worry me is that it's one thing getting promoted but a completely different thing staying there.

I worry we don’t seem to have a plan for sustainability unless you count on the academy bearing more fruit than it as had in recent years.

Oddball, let's get there first. Your concern for how we stay there and sustainability are justified and I guess that is the problem that most new teams to the PL face. Perhaps clubs will be forced to start to think about it a lot more through the introduction of FFP. Sustainability is something that needs nurturing as we develop the club. Only time will tell if we achieve it.

Sustainability,
Is that not something we should have started working on several years ago.

Let's look at the "truth" here.........

Aha! a Donny fan... another small town club... Join up with Posh and Derby

We ..... don't ... care...... what you think

Omar your club must be doing really well. We had one of your fellow reds standing next to me in the Lepping Lane end. He was complimenting me and the other 8 lads I was with about having a laugh and talking to real football fans. says a lot about your lot doesn't it?!

posted on 11/2/13

Is anyone else just starting to get really bored of the sheep now? I mean it is like they have reached a whole new level of obsession.

Seriously, I know your club is dire e.t.c but why don't you just admit that you support us as your fascination with us is just outrageous and clearly shows a complete reliance that your club and your fans have on Nottingham Forest?

Small town club maybe webbo, but real football men running the show who care what happens to donny fc, how you wish you could say the same! As for Billy, after he left you he was out of work for best part of two years, that says alot about what the rest of the football world thinks about mr davies ability, or lack of it! He is just another ten a penny manager with a big mouth and short trousers, I rest my case

Not sure of your point Wassa? If he was a 'real' NFFC fan, what was he doing watching you lot at Wednesday's ground.

And are you impying that us 'real' NFFC fans are incapable of having a laugh? I've been doing nothing else for 50% of the season so far (admittedly, the other 50% has been crying!).

How do you organise a pissup in a phone box? Can't fit much beer in there. Probably got room for two and a half strippers

I had a bad dream last night, I dreamt the poison dwarf was making a speech at Wembley after the reds victory at the 2013 po final , I was sick all over the bed,he said something like.."I have been waiting for this for a long time however I wish it was Derby again instead of this ramshackle Shi'ite club" I at that point woke up and nearly died from laughing..this is a true story honest.

Yet gets the best out of his teams and every team he has managed has got to the playoffs at the very least.

More then any of your managers can ever say.

Not even SOD (who yes was a good man) I don't believe would have got us to the PL!

afraid football isn't like that anymore. Donny will not be a prem club. I don't like it but that's how it is

It's well documented that I do not like the guy. I won't stand and cheer on Saturday but he is the manager of teh team I support. Yes, I agree out of work for 20mths and noboody wanted him. Basically, he opens his mouth too much. I'm already fed up with this "unfinished" busines talk but as I said he is the manager and for the sake of stability I hope he sees it through.

As for SOD. I would of loved it if he was still here but that is now history. We move forward.

Hang about! Wasn't it the very same 'real football men' that tried to force SOD to use a load of journey men loan players, resulting in SOD walking out?

Billy Davies, the dwarf who threatened to sue Nigel Clough - even his money-grabbing lawyer told him that he didn't have a dead-leg to stand on.

This unfinished business talk is all part of the Billy Davies experience, hate him all you like but he knows how to get the adrenalin flowing - how did you react to his badge comment Webbo? You'd have to be very cold not to be moved by that. Churchill would have liked that one. (Not the dog).

The Truth about Billy Davies.

Preston - took over a mid-table Championship club, took them to the play-offs then left them for a bigger club. Since then they have rapidly fallen away and now they are a decent League 1 side.

Derby - took over a struggling Championship Club and lead them to promotion via the play-offs. Since he was sacked they were relegated from the top flight (yes they'd have almost certainly gone down anyway) with the worst record ever in the division. During said relegation season they endured a 4-1 home drubbing by Championship Preston and carried through the winless run into the next season, in all something like 36 league games without a win. Following his departure they have been a steady mid-table Championship club flirting at times with the upper and lower ends of the table.
Nottingham Forest - Took over a side spiralling towards an immediate return to League 1 and lead them to survival. Then lead them to two play-off campaigns which included an unbeaten league run of 20 games, a full half season unbeaten away and an unbeaten home league run which lasted from September 2009 to March 2011. The season after his sacking they just avoided relegation and on his return were 13th in the Championship.
Like him or not would fans of Preston, Derby or Forest rather be where they are now or where they were when he left?

Spot on Jacko. I doubt anyone can argue with that summary.

Jacko - good summary and it highlights what a good record he has at this level. There is a lot of baggage with him and he polarises opinion but his record speaks for itself.

Northborder - go away.
