Tamwolf, if you were Sako and I was Henry would you like it ?
Privately ok - slagged off publically in the local paper, I very much doubt it.
I don't think it was a penalty but I've only seen it once on TV. Deano agrees with me though. Can't see what Henry's gained from slagging off Sako.
Will people realise that Gorkss is left sided and Batth is right sided. Probably spells the end for Berra if anyone and Batth has killed off Margreitters chances Id say.
If I was going to go for a left back I'd turn the clocks back two years and go for Liam Ridgewell. Jack Robinson does seem a talent on FM. How about Zeki Fryers formerly of Man U now at Tottenham?
I doubt one signing will make much difference.
One of the most pivotal moments at our club was vs villa last season. We were on fire and then someone tried to be the big I am and got sent off
Or should I say "as a defensive midfielder your job is t break up and read the game and to ensure that you do not make tackles made by emotional feelings, Karl should be very disappointed with his role here and I'm sure he will make sure it doesn't happen again"
To at least the next match where we concede a daft goal and he loses his cool. I'm sorry but far far too much talking from Henry, time to be civil but stop giving such poor copy / quotes to the press. Do your own job and motivate and criticise from within the dressing room.
that was exactly the point that bothered me tam.........hardly a mature captain leading by example with that mindset is it?
Oh for Emmanuel Frimpong. Henry is like Cattermole, a ticking time bomb ready to go off unexpected.
I would be very upset if you were to slag me off in the local paper Wolfgang.
I don't think Henry has slagged him off though. He has just stated what happened and how it could have been avoided. If Dean Saunders had come out with that exact quote in his post match interview no one would mention it.
Just have to agree to disagree Tamwolf
Whatever the issue, sako is not the problem that's for sure. He just needs to impact and stay in the right areas and keep his performance levels up a bit more consistently. I suspect he'll be sold in the summer anyway for a profit as some prem club will take a chance on him.
But I understand the openness, but renta quote to the E&S can actually be more damaging and hardly smacks of a united dressing room, come to think of it the last two years are pretty demonstrative that this isn't the case.
Time for Saunders to sort the hierarchy out in the dressing room I think. This was a problem that stale aluded to and I suspect hasn't been solved yet.
Hardly slagging him off is he. Sako will know he's made a mistake, anybody who saw the foul could see it was careless - Henry is just giving an honest assessment of it, would you rather he swore blind that Sako hadn't fouled at all?
As for the Dean Saunders comment, it is so innoccuous as to be meaningless.
Journo: Have the squad taken to the new manager?
Henry:The boys like the new manager.
Hardly a giant conspiracy or hidden dig is it. Again, he's honestly answering a question - the squad likes Dean and Henry thinks he's a more effective manager than Solbakken, in which belief he is in the company of Steve Morgan, Jez Moxey, and a very large number of Wolves fans.
Disagree with that assessment by all means but claiming that Henry should never wear the shirt again because he likes the new manager seems a bit ridiculous to me.
He also mentioned that if Saunders was here at the start of the season they'd be third, hardly a hidden dig at stale is it ? And hardly taking player responsibility either
I don't mind him as a player, but I really think its time he shut up in the press. We had months of outbursts vs murphy, Barton etc they are all counter productive and driven by ego, just play Karl please
He always comes out with this crap when his place is under threat too.
I have always thought him a useful player, but it is slowly becoming clear that he causes issues behind the scenes, a lot of blame has been aimed at johnson, but those issues would not have come to the surface unless others kicked up, and clearly Henry kicked up a fuss losing the armband.
I can't really say what goes on behind the scenes. All we see are these press releases from the club and interviews with journalists that can easily be distorted.
I for one am fed up with the string of media drivel coming out if the club, telling everyone how we are going to turn the situation around and then turning in abject performances on the pitch. Why don't they all just shut up for a while and concentrate all the energy thats going into the PR on stopping the rot?
He says maybe third or fourth - effectively saying he believes Saunders is a more effective manager than Stale.
But why is this so bad? It is surely just the "party line", Morgan and Moxey believe exactly the same because they replaced Stale with Saunders.
On the one hand it annoys me and I wish they'd all just shut up but on the other hand - it isn't like they write and email it out themselves, they're probably asked by the club to speak to the press for half an hour a week, they chat and then the journo picks out the best bits to quote and make a story.
"clearly Henry kicked up a fuss losing the armband." - not sure what has made this clear?
i thought it was pretty much common knowledge at this point.

Tim,
Karl like Dean Saunders.
Sako not track back. Penalty.
Karl want captain arm band.
Your Sincerely
Karl Henry
Captain Clogger
Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C
Actually no. He seems like the kind of guy who would use your faithfully when writing to someone directly.
All I can say 17339 is that you have got a different idea of team spirit to me.
Criticise in the dressing room of course - but in public no.
If I were Sako I know I would resent it.
If I were Sako I would resent even being in this team, he probably thought he was joining established premier league players who were unlucky to be relegated, he should have looked at our history further back than three years I guess
I wouldn't worry how he feels Wolfgang, he will be gone in the summer no doubt.
I think there's a very big difference between discussing a colleague's mistake and discussing a colleague's flaws.
Issues in a match, mistakes, rash moments etc. are open to comment without issue as far as I'm concerned, but discussion of long term issues and personality/playing weaknesses should always be way off limits.
Everybody knows that it was a foul, that it was careless rather than malicious or deliberate, Saunders knows this, Sako knows this, Henry knows this, everybody in the stadium knows this.
If anything, commenting on it suggests that there ISN'T a long term issue from it and they've all moved on already. He's hardly likely to say something if it is a massive sore point.
He hasn't condemned the foul by, for example, saying it lost us three points, and he hasn't said that the carelessness is typical of Sako's nature and shows his disinterest. He has just been asked about and discussed one point from the game on Sunday.
Sako and Henry are big boys and I would personally be surprised if this causes even a hint of an issue. I think it is despondent, news-desperate fans reading too much into something at best, and scapegoating at worst.
The team have done a hell of a lot wrong this season and last, god knows there's enough to criticism them all day everyday without needing to make something more out of such a minor comment.
Sadly but Karl I'm sure will have plenty to say about that in the press
It was minor, but yet another addition to the Karl Henry untimely comments collection.
It's the size of an encyclopaedia now.
Incidentally I don't remember too many players coming out to criticise Karl for his hot headed red cards ..
Do your taking on the pitch, in the dressing room
And keep media talk bland please
