So we have five strikers ones injured (i'm sure stringy knows more than he's letting on).
Nugent had a mare and the other three are crap!

Being devils advocate could there be any link in the drop of form with the rumours about Wood?

He was the answer to the problem at 4:45 on Sunday! At least the morons on the moan in got their wish.

Debate well and truly over

I saw everything I needed to see of Futacs after 15 minutes against Burton.

He's a last 5 minute lump it and hop tactic and absolutely nothing more. Wood just shows the difference between a real target man, and a target man wannabe!

Poor. And for the first time, even I'm worried that Waggy and Vardy aren't the answer either.

Am I just depressed or is do we need to strengthen further in the summer to genuinely challenge next year? Play-off lottery may fall in our favour, but unless Wood and Nuge stay fit, I can't see that second spot at all.

Man we've been poor the last 2 games.

Dont be too down Mersey - We may have short comings but are the teams around chasing 2nd much stronger? I don't think so.

The key is obviosuly keeping key players fit but 2nd is still in our hands

I was hopeful that we might be able to find one of the three decent and in-form enough to play 3rd striker, but it's not looking that way at the moment. The only one who's really shown promotion form at any point in the season is Waghorn, so he gets my vote out of the three - however his form recently is back to being lethargic and full of tension so, unless this picks up very quickly, a dip into the loan market looks an increasingly good idea.

Dunge.. I hope you are refering to the loan market, as to loaning out Futacs and Vardy.
Maybe then bringing in a trype of player that suits our system.
I really don't think we play to Waghorns strengths, we bring him on as sub and expect him to play in the same mode as the player removed, not always best policy.

I'm not sure whether it's even worth it, Hairy; I can't see either having a long term future here so we should look to cut our losses and offload them at the end of the season.

But hopefully I'd be looking for someone to bring in on loan. Who is another matter!

The only strenth we need from waghorn is to score goals not hit posts or make keepers save his shots.

Verdy gets written off in half a season Waggy gets years?

I think there are a couple of reasons for that, Nev - Waghorn has shown periods of great form where he's been a menace to opposition defences. He also has a decent first touch, which is required more and more in this league.

Vardy and Futacs fail on both of these tests and show no sign of doing so.

That's not to say that we should wait indefinitely for Waghorn, because the time is here when he needs to produce again.

Dung,

Agree and disagree nothing new there then.

Vardy has that killer instinct or he would not of scored so many in his league. What he lacks is the phisical strength for this league when i met him he looked 19 not 23.

Wood shows that instinct Waghorn does not al the hard work in the world means nothing sit on a deck chair for most of the game but get a goal job done.

Did we not have one like that?and the fans did not get it Yak attack

I feel another man u signing coming up
