Agree. He is a bully against weak and slow defenders. One trick pony where he puts it between the defenders leg

Wouldnt mind him at Arsenal though

He wouldn't get into a first XI top 4 side

He's one of the best players but by no means the best strikers.
Every Liverpool fan on the planet knows that his striking is abysmal, his movement and intelligence is what creates the space and chances for him.

For £20M. Not the £50M Liverpool will ask for

we follow our 12M philosophy. So 20M is out of reach I fear. Wenger

wonder if they will sell him to Bayern in the summer

Suarez is class, we'd score so many goals with him in the side. He might be a nasty piece of work and a bit overhyped by Liverpool fans (who'd have thought it? ) but recognise a brilliant player when you see one.

He'd walk into our team easily.

He's off to Real Madrid in summer so you won't have to worry about it

I doubt Madrid would go for him, they will be after Falcao or Cavani who are both far better.

Suarez will stay at Liverpool unless City or Bayern come in for him.

Suarez's dribbling is touted as one of his greatest assets but as far as I'm concerned it's more down to perseverance and dogged determination rather than actual skill. More often than not he kick the ball into the legs of other player, and rarely actually goes round them. He rarely looks like the ball is completely under his control, but rather follows it, almost like an incredibly lucky Gervinho.

Would love if we could get Di Maria...

Suarez is the most naturally gifted footballer in the PL IMO. However, everything about the way he plays screams attacking midfielder to me. Why he's used as a centre forward I'll never know.

Most overrated player in the league by far.

===============================
No way is he the most talented in the league, nowhere near as much as an RVP or an Aguero. Even someone perfectly two footed like Cazorla has more natural talent than Suarez, his main talent is his attitude to want to win at any cost which illustrates itself in all his aspects of play, and some of his antics too - he'll pretty much always be first to the ball etc. but he's a long way off being the most naturally gifted.

I'd dispute that- RVP's technique is second to none (in the PL), but he can often appear a little ungainly when trying to control the ball or with the ball at his feet. Aguero is a good striker, but he's not in the same league as Suarez as a footballer, as shown by his disappointing performances for alot of the season. A will to win is all well and good, but, say, Jamie Mackie has a will to win, he presses and harries opponents, but that doesn't put him on the level of a Suarez.

This is, without a doubt, the best post I've seen in ages. Well said mate.
I've been saying this for a while now.

He certainly plays very ugly football. That's for sure.

How do people come to this conclusion?
Suarez has good technique, yes. But he's not technically exceptional.

Some idiots were claiming he is a better footballer than RVP.

"Aguero is a good striker, but he's not in the same league as Suarez as a footballer, as shown by his disappointing performances for alot of the season."

Are you serious man? I'd say it's the other way around. Aguero is twice the player Suarez is. As for footballing talent, . Not even close man. Not even close.
Aguero is world class. Elite level. Suarez is a notch below. The hype is ridiculous.

posted on 14/2/13

Being a naturally gifted footballer is about more than just pure technique- it involves attributes such as dribbling ability too.

posted on 14/2/13

Aguero has not scored anywhere near enough goals this season for an 'elite level' striker- he's scored less than the much maligned Olivier Giroud! Also, for all of the criticism of Suarez's finishing, Aguero isn't exactly razor sharp either, watch him play and you'll see that he actually squanders quite a lot of good chances.
