Just seen it. For goodness sake, it was all a misunderstanding and Wenger was actually trying to be polite.

Basically, the point about his apparent contract extension was raised and Wenger quickly confirmed that this was a lie intended to cause disharmony within the fans. This completely makes sense considering how THICK and DUMB most arsenal fans are.

Arsenal doing bad = Fans unhappy. Wenger signs new contract when arsenal doing bad = Fans begin to go crazy.

The media's ploy failed as Wenger denied it flat out today, and I can imagine he was told to deny it strongly as well.

Wenger, after denying it, looked at a journalist who was staring at him. Wenger just told the journalist that he was talking in general, not referring to particular journalists. That IS ALL.

Idiots making a massive thing out of it are getting on my nerves.

GT, I think you speak for the majority of Arsenal fans there. I have been sitting on the fence for a long time but now I just think there is no way back. I am convinced that the longer Wenger remains at the club, the more damage he will do to it and do to his legacy.

As far as I'm concerned, those fans who go as far as deriding Wenger's body language or press conference agitation are venturing in rather unsavoury territory for the simple fact they've left the more substantive issues in Wenger's management for frivolous trifles. It's disrespectful and unnecessary for a man who's given his best for this club.

How can you say that? When a man that not that long ago was a joy to listen to, the most reassuring voice on the planet, who had journos eating out of his hand, has no become the insecure, paranoid comedy figure he is today then people are certain to comment on it.

Wenger is more than a manager at Arsenal, he is also a great man and when you see his demeanor change to the state that you feel sorry for him then people are obviously going to pass judgement on it. This is nothing about being disrespectful so get off your high horse on this one.

I was too annoyed to stick around plus I had things to do and wasted 2 hours watching the team lose!

At the end of the day Wenger is here at least until the end of the season, so I will support the team. If they lose they lose, not much I can do about it. But I will continue to be positive, especially on match day!

I like to take the positive view in life, one because I'm establishing a business and I need to keep my mental state up and another the negative people in life don't get anywhere!

I just find you always negative, call me weird but I do believe that things we say and believe do affect the outcome (in general not with arsenal games).

Every little thing you moan about, and it's boring, Wenger is most definitely under performing and he's under pressure but can you not remember SAF walking out of his press conference. It's normal to act like that especially after a defeat!

LOL OK this is funny. Im just watching the conference now and 10 seconds after telling one journalist he would only talk about tomorrow, he tells another journalist that he doesn't want to talk about Bayern.
