your only as good as your last game or the table never lies, take you pick?

---------------------------------------------------------------

Either way city would give anything to be 12 pts clear and still in the CL.

genuine question - if mancini fails to make it out the group stages of the CL next season will city fans want him sacked?

It is Macca. Personally, I don't think our set up suits him, he is playing on the left wing yet his natural tendency is to cut inside and get the ball centrally. The problem is, Silva does the same from the other side and both Aguero and Tevez like to drop deep too, so all the space comes congested.
------------------------------------------
Surely that's just down to the coaching/tactics.

Nasri cuts in, Tevez goes wide and so on. Interchanging is something learnt on the training pitch and I guess there has to be an understanding with the other players too. Also it should leave plenty of space for Zab to attack too, which you do see alot.

The areas Barca play in can become congested but they deal with that that easily with traingles, one two's, etc.

When it comes to Nasri, he just appears to not be doing the shirt any justice atm for me, and alot of that is he just doesn't look happy whatsoever which is starnge considering he got himself a medal last season

DIdn't Utd do the same? The team/squad that won the league in the early 90s was the most expensively assembled squad in English football history at the time.

That was late 90s mate.
Beckam and co were still in nappies when you won the league in 92.

Beckham was still in nappies in 92? Wierd, he was 17.

And the "You don't win anything with kids, was 95".

And which of them came through your academy?
You nicked Giggs off us remember.

"Anyways if Mancini actually believes he is the best manager in England he has truly bought into the narrow minded obsessing with everything to do with United and constantly compare everything to United."

Why? He was asked a question due to speculation about his job (widely reported due to quotes from that all knowing footballing soothsayer.....Danny Mills). All he was doing was defending himself and his record so far, which to be fair is pretty good. It did not come across as anything to do with United, it actually made me think more of Wenger and how long he has gone without winning anything.

yeah giggs wasnt an academy graduate we only trained him since he was 14

posted on 18/2/13

Giggs was a bit of both. I did hear Ronnie Irani on talksport the other day (i know, i'm sorry) saying he thought that the best player to come out of United's academy was Ronaldo.

That man really is an idiot.

its relatively easy to win the league if you spend a ridiculous amount on amassing the worlds best footballers.

The amounts of money is now a lot of higher, but Utd did then, what City are doing now.

------------------------------------------------

Is this fact though? Have each teams costs from back then been totalled up and compared or is this something you've just said?

Clevs was a Bradford product

He's only been with us since he was 12 so his development has zero to do with United either

I'm pretty sure Leeds won the title in 1992, United won their first title in nearly 3 decades a year later when the big PL money started rolling in.
