Marking space to stop these sort of players from having the space to maneuver themselves past a defence over 180 minutes and 120 minutes respectively is d'amn hard work and even then it's not enough to completely nullify them if you don't have a very good keeper to save you.
lets be honest who actually thought Arsenal would be able to complete with Bayern. Bayern this year i think would be able to best Barcelona i think thats the final one of these two will win CL this year
I'm still furious about Di Matteo's sacking. Will always be a legend in my eyes.
"I WON IT!"
Yes you did Robbie, yes you did
Stop making like RDM is a tactical genius, if we didn't give them any chances it would be a different story, but Bayern crated bucket loads of chances, poor finishing was their down fall
Obviously they're going to create chances they're one of the best teams in the world did you honestly think we'd completely nullify them?
No team can completely nullify this Bayern side. Di Matteo had a game plan and it was definitely aided by their forward not being clinical.
With the side we had last year (Bosingwa, two centre backs who had not trained in a month, etc etc) we were always going to have to ride our luck against a really top side.
The way in which RDM set us up gave us the best possible chance with he side we had, and it's unfair not to give him credit for that.
did he also plan the penalty saves which kept us in the game.

I'd stick to tennis mate, coz you're really shlt at this
Ashley Cole blocked every single attempted cross from the right whether it be from Lahm or Robben.
Vermaelen out of his depth at LB.
