In all seriousness, I guess the inclusion of Allen frees up Gerrard to push forward more, and Sterling has not been particularly good in recent weeks either.

Great shame that theres no Sturridge or Coutinho available. In order to go though we will need several team members to raise their game. Unless we get an early goal I think we are on our way out.

Only possible reason i could think of

We just have to hope that Allen can provide the supply which can free up Gerrard...

And while i think the formation will show Henderson on the wing, i can see him providing alot of energy in midfield and not be restricted to the wide areas

Levia going by the WBA game he was pretty lost on the left side. He is better in midfield with Gerrard than having Allen in midfield. Why take off a performer from his natural position and play him somewhere he has struggled time after time?

Similarly the best Allen has looked recently was when he played with Gerrard and Lucas, and Gerrard sat back allowing Allen to push on more.

I can't remember what game it was but I think he had two disallowed goals and looked a much better player playing in a more advanced role.

I think it'll backfire to be honest. Sterling's out of form, but Allen's inclusion is more damaging unless he has a remarkable turnaround.

Time to step up Mr Allen

If he played like the start of the season then it'd be great... I just can't see it, though. He looks terrified these days and is so ponderous.

Tiki-taka up to the final third, thread through the needle to Suarez in the false nine role who has found himself in an airpocket of space, pass onto Gerrard - the focal point. who plays a thread of the needle pass into Suarez who roles it in. You know it's gonna happen.

I think its a game of high drama tonight im looking forward to it, zenit will score but Liverpool can still do it.

Allen is there to help Lucas stop their counter attack, Henderson isn't playing left wing. He'll come in and allow Enrique to push up.
