Not drafted quite right I know - visions of 20,000 at the Mol ignoring the game, busy with their Basildon Bond !
attend the game, give the team your support then everyone should leave after ten minutes.
That way the team know you are behind them and your beef is with the board. Would look quite powerful too if a lot of fans did it (ie the South Bank). Can't imagine the Billy Quiet would be up to it!
Agree with you Wolfgang. The profit and loss statement and balance sheet focuses the mind more than 'scouse mafia out' banners.
I do, however understand the frustration of the fans who go to the games and feel powerless as our once great club slides down towards the third tier.
Surely Morgan must know how most fans feel. It's so disappointing that he won't come out and say anything about his vision for the club and how he thinks the future might pan-out. Perhaps, though, his silence tells us more than any words actually could!
I’ve never had a problem with people letting their feelings be known at half time or full time. I think the away fans in the video from Barnsley got their point across pretty well.
The first question though should be what is the aim? What do we want? Morgan to spend more? Morgan out? Saunders out? Or just to let the whole lot of them Morgan, Moxey, Saunders and the players know how unhappy people are?
What’s the message?
Blackburn fans protested the loudest and longest in recent times - even forming their own group with a steering committee. Made not a jot of difference. The Venkys did what they want when they wanted, regardless of death threats to the manager and what have you.
Peace is the same at Albion - they hated him, abusing him on forums and in newspapers and making their banners. Made not a jot of difference.
Tonka, so the club (Morgan) gets our money but we don't get what we've paid for . . .
. . . hang on a minute we haven't been getting what we pay for for a couple of seasons.
Actually, my view is quite simple: support your head off during the game, then if they have been rubbish boo them off the pitch. I do think this hits home with players, manager and the board.
Although I understand the booing, I don't think it hurts anybody but ourselves.
The players are suffering from a phenomenal shortage of confidence, if we boo because they've been nervy in the first half, they're hardly likely to improve in the second.
As 306 says, what's the message? It is totally pointless without an aim and, in reality, the players should be good enough. It isn't really the board's fault that we are facing relegation, it isn't unreasonable to expect these players to not be in a relegation fight. That said, I don't blame the players, anybody who has played sport at any level will tell you the value of confidence and the impossibility of doing the most basic things when you don't have it. The board should have added a few in January but I don't think they've been wildly remiss in their actions.
I say support like your life depends on it until we're down or safe - then, if you're still unhappy, revolt like it's 1789...and you're in Paris.
How about going home at half time?
Leaving without buying any half time snacks would hit them financially and mimic the half asséd efforts of the board and players.
Although my happy clapper in me also says support like mad, limiting that support to 45 minutes and then going entirely might send a very strong message.
I've not been buying from inside the ground now for a couple of home games, I would like to have this season's away kit but am refusing to buy even tho it's only 15 quid so I'm doing my bit, unfortunately I have a season ticket so won't be boycotting games but am seriously considering next season's Saturday afternoon options
Why don't you fill the ground? That will freak them out!
Any protest is pointless as has been shown plenty of times before both here and at other clubs. It won't make the team play any better and it won't stop Morgan making bad decisions, besides which the damage has been done by his abysmal managerial appointments of the past 12 months. Should we protest that he appoints a decent manager?
I'm not renewing for next season at the moment, not as a protest but because I'm not sure whether I want to keep doing something that makes me miserable every other Saturday.
I quite like Terrie's left-field suggestion
Ive not had a ticket this year cause of work commitments (althought they did still send me an early bird renewal offer - desperate). Wouldnt you even be tempted to boycott half a game Mike? Easy for me to say maybe cause Im not going atm but I could just imagine the image it would create if the southbank emptied at half time.
If all the moaning numpties boycotted games permanently then the team might even stay up.

Will he be conducting the Q&A in a replica Bristol shirt while seeing how quickly he can down a pint?
What part got your goat Wolfgang?
Too close to encouraging hooliganism Pundit.
I don’t think "close" is the word Wolfgang I think it was a premeditated and calculated attempt to encourage wide spread violence. The fact that the comment came from someone responsible for the development of tender minds and bodies makes it even more despicable.
Hang your head Pundit.
