If we're looking at an overweight, slow, striker, who has very little footballing ability, then we might as well just keep Kyle.

Aye....or stick wi the only cant wi a worse scorin record than sammi...take a bow sandaza

Aye exactly.

There is no need for us to get Boyd back. Aye he may have scored goals in the SPL, but he had a different quality of player behind him creating chances, and Miller to do all the running up front for him. There wouldn't be that nowadays, and the fact he's declined so much, means its a waste of a wage. Much rather keep Little up front, he is a combination of both.

Anyway McCoist needs to get a look at the defence before even considering a striker. If he brings in no defenders I really do despair.

Bears - looks like a split verdict. I can honestly see both viewpoints. All kidding aside, he did have a great SPL scoring record (Celtic aside). But he did very little else - the question is "Has he lost what he had?" Providing he passes his medical, we'll find out soon

Boyd-Little up-front......no?

Right about defenders tho

"Boyd-Little up-front......no?"

Not really, Little can score the goals of Boyd, with the workrate of Miller, so there's no real need for Boyd. The attack isn't really an area of real concern, the defence and another midfielder need brought in though.

DC - bit harsh on Sammi, mate. Last season I would have agreed with you but the man has scored a goal in 5 consecutive away European games plus one against Germany in the Euro finals and deserves a bit more credit, me thinks

Gers would be better off giving a youngster a chance than Boyd. You will coast next season too.. play the kids

I mean ffs we have Kane Hemmings out on loan, and quite he's scoring goals at a higher level than we are playing at just now. We should just give him a chance, I imagine he'll score a few goals for us between now and the end of the season, and will likely be a better option than Sandaza, Kyle, Boyd, Novo, or whoever else you want to throw into the mixing pot.

Bg doubts over kane's ability to stay fit for any length of time....next season will be make or break for the lad I think

Aye it will be.

Throw him in though, or Naismith.

Sorry, I wasn't offering that up for debate. He IS the greatest goalscorer the SPL has ever seen. If you find me anyone, let alone a Rangers fan, who would argue that Larsson or anyone else scored more, thay are an idiot

It's a fact, not an opinion - Kris Boyd: Greatest ever SPL goalscorer. Would love to see him back in a Gers top.
