The macbook debate is futile.. Ive had desktops and laptops of both and Macbooks last twice as long as laptops.. Faster, More efficient, More Secure.. You save a lot of money in the long run.. I still have a macbook from 2006 that works just as well as it did when bought.

I'm done with laptops. I'm too used to desktops with a massive screen, can't deal with anything under 20 inches myself anymore.

The only thing that came close to macs was a desktop I built from the ground up and that cost me just as much as the current macbook pro.

Can't stand macbooks, you don't get anything you need for the 1 grand you pay. Most users browse the internet and use word

You might. But seriously, viruses are not even a problem anymore for anyone with a bit of common sense.

Applecare is more than worth the asking price... My flatmate took out apple care which is 3 years on top of the warranty for £200.. his macbook motherboard failed and they gave him a brand new one which had several better features... £200 for £1200 laptop? yes please

But Cannons - that is still alot of money!

Applecare is a must, I got it for £47 because I was a student. But it run out and now it's not worth repairing. You can;t extend the warranty

fair enough Each to their own I guess.

It makes me laugh to see people fork out lots of money for antivirus software. You do not need it. Microsoft security essentials is free and it's the best antivirus there is. Or better still, use common sense. Haven't had a virus in about 5 or 6 years.

snap henrykamp!

No Arsenal, the best antivirus is having a mac... 99% of viruses use .exe files which cant be opened in a mac... this means any illegal downloading I do is entirely harmless

But Arab said he doesn't go to football online sites because he said he gets viruses!
