Who gives a sh it where we are in feb? As long as we're in touching distance now we need to get behind the team (AND MANAGER) and see where we are come May.

We're top 6 FFS, the negativity is infuriating!

Why make do with play offs when we had 2nd place in our own hands???

Complete lack of ambition

Top 6 in Feb with 2 games in hand isn't a bad foundation to start on to secure automatic promotion though is it Spoonfox?

I think the stick that Nigel and the team are getting from some on here is just ridiculous.

I went to Huddersfield away in the cup and Peterborough away in the league and I was left disappointed by both performances, but I understand that we're not going to walk through every team week in, week out.

We will lose games, we'll even lose them back to back with under-par performances, but as long as we're in touching distance of the auto's I WILL remain realistic and I WILL support the team and manager who have put on some great performances over the season and thoroughly deserve to be in with a shout at playing in the Prem.

Why whinge now?

I see both sides here. Spoonfox, feel your frustration too, that was an important game to win after Tuesday. What bothers me if we look absolutely devoid of any ideas, we cannot score goals and we are very predictable.

However we have stopped the rot and its a point. Last time we did this we went on good run so we have to do that again.

For me we are not consistent enough and our away form isn't good enough. You didn't see Reading, West Ham etc this inconsistant last season and this is the reason we won't make the top 2 - I've said it a long time this is the worst championship in years, lots of muscle but little skill and if we don't make it this season we only have ourselves to blame, it would be a missed chance.

With Forest, Brighton and Watford looking good we have to get a move on soon, and we also have to get real as fans that we aren't

Totally agree again Spoon. Absolute bottlers! Let's wait to read the players comments yet again throughout the week......same old, same old. Get Di Canio in now before it's too late.

Chesham it's not negativity, it's disappointment that we are not doing as well as we could and should be doing. Good teams pick up points when they are playing badly, we are not.

I think any knowledgeable City fan will say we aren't string enough and this has cost us endless points this season, and with this in min teams are roughing us up and we can't cope.

We have to win the games first don't forget, and we don't look like we can buy a win. Most if not all of us with be there supporting the lads on Tuesday but lets get real too and realise we need to improve in certain areas - Cardiff are top because they are hard to beat, that's why we aren't.

If we're not strong enough we've been totally winging it for the past 6 or 7 months then have we?

That's not exactly how I remember it....

Di Canio

At the minute I think we're a mid table team punching well above our weight!

Quote from Pearson after today's game...
"We're fractions away at the minute from collecting maximum points in games and that's something that we're going to have to deal with."

Pretty standard response from him as usual.
Bored of the same old interviews. Like déjà vu every week!

Not moaners but people who have taken off their Rose Tinted glasses many many games ago. Here's one for you....... City to miss out on play offs.

dear lord, give me strength. I love this club but a good 70% of its supporter (and i use the word supporters loosely) are complete a-holes. Whinge about anything and everything

As for get di canio in talk about knee jerk

"oh we didn't win sack the manager"
"he missed a peno, sell him"
"we won but we didn't play well"
"Advertising boards are hurting my eyes"
"We're playing on Tuesday"

I'm for one satisfied that we've picked up a point and clean sheet at a difficult place to go and a god awful surface. Its stopped the rot at least, lets hope we can go on another run

I know that if you take out the 2 runs of 5 wins we've proved to be largely inconsistent. But, we've also proved that we can string wins together.

We're 14 games to go and we're well in with a shout. Just need the good side our game to show in those games

Keeping it real

Not good enough for what, exactly? Automatic promotion? Looking at it, we're probably not because we can't recover quickly enough from bad or disappointing results. The fact we've gone behind Watford is probably the most concerning thing for that - I know we have games in hand but one of them is Cardiff away so we can't bank anything on that. Hull don't look any better than us, nor do any of the other teams around us. So obviously the solution is to panic, sack the manager and replace 90% of the squad.

I do agree that we shouldn't be playing Vardy, but the alternatives are hardly wonderful. And before someone mentions Schlupp, he's off learning to play in an entirely new position that ain't going to happen and nor would it work.

But hey, I obviously have a rose-tinted view of my club, written as if being positive and not making active plans to go down to the King Power stadium with placards/Let out a primal scream under the Clock Tower/slit my wrists in the bath tonight is a bad thing.

P.S. Lcfc69 - A hint: If you really want people to believe you, try replacing Di Canio's name with Adkins.

Personally I think were in a good position right now. Looking at prev tables around this time of year, our points tally gives us an average position of 4-5 which Will do for me. I think 2nd is more than realistic still. What we needed today was at least a point which we got. In most of our games this season I've been entertained and come away feeling good about how the team have performed and confident of a successful season. I like Pearson and I like the football we've played. I think he's a good manager with great backroom staff. The club is financially secure with a solid fan base. I'll take our current overall state over any other club in the league.
