You were predicting a top six finish not an outside chance of top six.
Admit it Cinci he underperformed massively.
Whether he should have been sacked as early as he was is a different debate but he’d started off very, very badly and none of the excuses about the squad or injuries wash.

So Henry says that he thinks we would maybe have been top three if we'd had Saunders from the start and not Stale and he is the anti-christ, making up lie after lie after lie for some never quite identified personal game.

Doyle says maybe we weren't patient enough with Stale and it is an incredibly insightful comment and his honesty is praised.

I think the nail's head has been well and truely hit by you there nameless one

actually I said we would get around the 70pt mark......and then with the investment I said a play off is definitely within reach.
Injuries are not an excuse, they are fact......if you are building a house, and outlay big money on the foundations, and then they are taken away, you just have a stack of bricks.
5 of his 6 signings were sidelined at some point, or is that not true?
I think henry's statement was a veiled attack on SS after what Ss had said on norwegian tv, perfectly understandable dont you think?

Peszko dropped by Stale at times & injured at others.
Boukari injured.
Doumbia dropped by Stale at times and “tired”.
Marg never anywhere near the team even when fit.
Sig in and out of the team under Stale mainly out.
Sako a hit when he can be bothered.
So considering Peszko & Boukari wouldn’t have been played at the same time he was short in one position due to a genuine injury.
One player making a difference for £10m at this level is abysmal.

It's funny, injuries were never a fact last season. Last season, we should have bought better and had more cover.

Yet poor Stale almighty's football revolution was brought crashing to the ground by two injuries. I mean facts.

Boukhari is injured and Pezcko was too. Margherita never played anyway and Doumbia wasn't interested, that's different to being injured.

In my opinion Doyle's comments about Stale, Saunders or even MM for that matter are just his opinion and actually count for nothing so why they trigger another round of infighting on here is a mystery to me.
The most significant statement that Doyle made is:

“No one ever forces anyone to sign contracts and play for clubs, so I don’t feel sorry for people who are throwing hissy fits when they want to leave a club with two years left or whatever they have,” Doyle said.
“You sign a contract and that’s it.
“People ask me if transfer talk annoys me, especially when it doesn’t happen, but I say no, because I signed a four year contract with Wolves, a fantastic contract – they reward me very well.
“So I can’t be moaning and complaining if they want to keep me, that’s their perogative, I’m contracted to them.”

Jesus! I never thought I would ever hear a professional footballer demonstrate such loyalty to his club in this day and age. Doyle may be criticised for his on-field performances, and I have criticised him as much as anyone, but no-one can fault his honesty, his loyalty and his integrity.
If only Steven Fletcher,Michael Kightly and Mathew Jarvis had a fraction of Doyle's integrity perhaps we wouldn't be in the situation we are in right now.

Sadly there will always be in fighting from a few on here gem, it gets them through the day.
Who said injuries didnt matter last season?
You can pretrnd all those players were available but the truth is very different, but that wouldnt suit your agenda.

Well im sunning myself is a nice houston park, enjoy your day.

What utter claptrap cinci. If there is in fighting on here it can pretty well be guaranteed that one of the parties will be either you or witless. And you two are the ones with agendas. Anything relating to McCarthy has to be criticised. Anything relating to Solbakken is accompanied by excuses. And anything relating to Saunders has to be criticised. Its boring, its predictable and its making this forum very tedious

Kevin Doyle has badly lost form and certainly lost the strikers instinct. Although I thought he did well when he came on Sunday.

But he is a genuine guy who never hides and always does his best and for that reason I hope he gets through this poor run because he can be a massive asset to the team if he finds his form as he showed many times in the Premier League

See this is where you talk claptrap dj.
I like mick, always have and have never criticised his early work.....i do however criticise the fact that his transfer record in the prem was very poor and he never renewed the squad as he should have, which I believe is a big reason why we are here.
As for solbskken, I criticised plenty of his decisions, but do not think he should have been sacked when it was clearly not all a mess of his making.
And I have not really criticised deano, infact I have praised him more than not, but I am concerned.

As for infighting, just read through todays articles and you will see a familiar pattern, one or two posters every comment is turned and twisted to get another dig.

You managed to get 12yards shut down, so no doubt you will clear this place too.

cinci - if ever anyone had a case for defamation of character then that comment just about takes the biscuit. You know and I know that I had nothing whatsoever to do with the closure of 12 yards. And shows exactly what kind of bloke you are that you would post such a comment. I am not the only person on here that has utter contempt for you and don't ever argue that isn't justified after that comment

So you dont think your threats of legal action against wolfies imbysylic misjudgement had nowt to do with it?

Fair point though, I shouldn't have posted it, so my apologies on that score.

As for people having utter contempt for me, I would suggest that anyone who has utter contempt for any forum user has far bigger issues to deal with in life and should be nowhere near a forum.

Well, it didn't take you long DJ, did it?

I guess you thought that by changing your user name you'd escape detection.

Same old rhetoric and the same old comments and remarks.

I'm just waiting for the insults to start as that always seems your way out of a debate. At least on this site we have moderators who are willing to remove such.

posted on 25/2/13

I find it strange that when some of us came over here when 36 feet got closed down, the debates were discussed in a somewhat orderly manner and it was a pleasure to log on and read articles.

However, since you've been "sussed out" the debates start to get ugly again.

No I don't think my actions had anything to do with it. How imbysylic that you blame me the victim rather than the perpetrator. Misplaced loyalties there for the idiot and you went on to say it was the saddest day in forum history that he had been banned. If you had taken reasonable action the first time it happened instead of protecting your mate it would not have gone the way it did

When someone does something once, apologises, withdraws the apology then does it again - then misjudgement is a totally inappropriate term to use. And yes anything similar happens on here there will be the same consequences.

But you know that my actions were far from being crucial in the closing of that site.

witless - no moderator has ever removed a comment of mine., No site has ever banned me. At no time have I tried to hide my identity. People have been complaining about the in fighting on here and this is the first time I have ever responded to a comment of yours on here so they cant be referring to anything I have said to you

So is there anything you have just said that makes any sense at all? Nothing new there then

posted on 25/2/13

DJ, where have I said that you have responded to anything I've put up on here? You seem to have a problem with what some one here write about. I do wonder if you signed on here as Crikey, you were hoping that your old identity wouldn't be sussed out.

However your refusal to accept what some of us write on here, has clearly brought you out into the open. There have been no insults from anyone on this site since we made the switch, yet here you go with the 'witless' remark. You are now blaming both me and cinci for the "in fighting". THERE HAS BEEN NO IN FIGHTING mate. But now your true colours have been recognized on here, no doubt there will be.

You do seem to have great difficulty in restraining your fingers

Try getting along with everyone for a change, like 99% have been doing thus far.

Surely you are not saying your expat mate talks rubbish are you? Why don't you try getting along with someone, anyone

To my mind Witless is antagonistic, and posts provocative nonsense just to get reactions. Most posters see through it, which is why you'll generally see a higher number of low markings for the threads he instigates. He starts threads just to annoy with his contributions.

I'm totally happy with that. I like to see posts from the full spectrum of society, and wouldn't want to stifle that (within reason), just as long as people can recognise the posts for what they are, and respond in an appropriate manner.

Thanks for coming back. I did miss you.
